I know this was done in BF and PoE with success so let's import it over to BF 2142. Let's all pledge to form a Learn TG squad and have multiple squads formed with Learn TG as the squad name. Many of you are familiar with this formation so let's use it on a regular bases.
I'll be the first to pledge on forming a Learn TG squad. I think everyone who is reading this thread, plays on the TG BF 2142 server and posts on the forums is aware of how we play here, so everyone, supporting or non-supporting member is capable of forming and leading a TG Squad. If your green, it's a good time to learn and if your a veteran show others what to do. I don't think it would be determental to have two or three full squads of Learn TG on both the EU and PAC teams. With the public server we get players coming in and out and anything with a "Learn" in it makes for an easier and enjoyable gaming environment. When forming the Learn TG squad remember: 1)If your going to squad lead make sure lay down orders and talk with your squad. Nothing worse than a non-talking squad leader. 2)Don't fill up a Learn TG squad with all TG members - don't be lazy. A Learn TG squad should really only have, max, four TG members. Three TG and three newbies seems like a good ratio. 3)If you see a squad with one or two squad members and don't recognize the name send them a squad invite to join Learn TG. 4)Form more than one Learn TG squad. If we only have one Learn TG squad playing than that leaves for maybe space for two or three newbies in that one squad and on a full server that's not covering all the new players that would want to join. So let's make the pledge.

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
Word, brother.
Granted, I don't have that much play time nor am I a Grade A squad leader, I shall do what I can to further the TG cause. Looks like the unlock I've been holding onto is going to have to be the squad leader beacon...

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
I'll cross post a bit with this tip... don't forget to encourage like-minded players to visit the forums. The forums sell the value of the TG community outside any specific round or specific game.

It is high time for the Learn TG squads to make an appearance in 2142 though, so kudos for bringing it up.

So every round let's have at least three squads formed. Rotate the squad leader from round to round, if you lead one round and don't feel like squad leading the next than say so and have someone else take the lead the next. Everyone playing should at least squad lead for one round.

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
I didn't play on our server last night but I will pledge to be a learn TG squad leader. I'm not that fond of SL-ing but will try my best and would like to see a rotation. One important thing is to give orders so we get the success points. Many non-TG SLers never give orders.

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
Gotta say I also had good times running in some of the TG Learn squads last night as well. If it's best for the team, I have no problem guarding an out-of-the-way post, and it's great to see a full squad running around together. Good stuff!
Only thing that bums me out is lately is I haven't heard anyone using voice comms at all. Ironically it was about the same time that I hooked up my mic and enabled voip that everyone else stopped talking. See ya on the server! Skidakiller |
