Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
I have to apologize that I havent been doing this... I really am sooo green to this game and feeling so noobish around some of you folks.. you guys are really great players and some of the SLs are soooooo good that I have been selfish and stacking up in your squads... but it always seems that not long into a few rounds the SL has to leave and I always seem to be next on the list to be SL... dangit it always seems to work that way... what is up with that.. is it due to rank.. or when you joined the squad.. what is it??? I have tried out a couple of different scenarios and there doesnt seem to be a rhyme or reason to it.
I did take the initiative though the past couple of days to study the maps and have been watching some of you lead.. and have tried to lead a few squads.. I really hope to get better at this and will take the initiative to lead more. I was very successful in WoW leading groups and I know its a matter of just getting more familar with the game.. I will work hard to get past this and soon start leading more.SWTOR - Ashenhart - Sith Inquisitor

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
You can also invite other players into the squad. They'll feel more welcome.

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
Hmm all the Learn TG squads I've started over the last 2 weeks have gone well. Most of the time there's at least 3 non-tagged newbies in my squad and usually one other TG member besides myself. Everyone seems to do great, peeps catch on quick, we have fun, teamwork ensures, and we win the round sometimes.

Hey Ash, you'll get better, and your doing a good job at learning from the other SLs. Your "second in command" because of what order you joined the squad in. Some of the maps have certain flags that should be held because they have a high strategic value. Just start out small, then work you way up. And leading a squad doesn't have to put all the decisions up to you, ask your fellow squad members for some help, some insight, their opinions and suggestions. And you can always have a squad member take the lead (point man) if you feel you need some time to get yourself situated.Acreo Aeneas

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
Let me throw out the dumb question of the day:
What's a "Learn TG" squad?
I must have joined those a half dozen times in the past few weeks but, I have no idea what it entails.
According to Albert Einstein, the only dumb question is the one that is not asked. :P

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
A Learn TG squad is a squad with hopefully no more then 3 TG members and the rest NON TG members. That way we can show non TG members how teamplay, voice commands, and orders can make the game so much more fun.
Basically it is a Squad formed to show non teamplayers what it is like to work as a team in a FPS.

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
I think we've done a smashing job with the Learn TG squads. We have brought in alot of new players and continue to do so.
However, I would like to see those players that have not formed and lead LTG squads to make a committment and step up.
Take the initiative and form a LTG squad!|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
As a reminder, I wanted to ask that our TG players be mindful of not packing up into the same 1 or 2 squads. Let's spread out the TG love and start more squads, not isolating ourselves!

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
I joined a Learn TG squad last night, well make that plural. Being new to TG, I found it very inviting, and a good way to ease in to the TG way of play. Keep it up, hopefully I can create one in the future!

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
Given that we have some new NS maps being thrown into the mix here at TG and new players still hoping on to play it's time everyone took a turn at leading a "Learn TG" squad.
We brought in alot of new players through the "Learn TG" squads so do your part. Form a "Learn TG" squad for one round and let somebody lead the next.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: Learn TG Squad(s) Pledge
Yup same here - I've been naming my squads 'LearnTG' over the past few weeks because I've noticed lots of new names in both the regular 2142 and the NS servers.
