Titan Interest and Server Seeding

Anybody else want to play titan?

I tried seeding the titan server today for about 30 minutes. It got up to 4 players but players left after about 5 minutes. Master Editor showed up and one of my friends joined as well. With 3 other TG'ers, we can get a game going but we need to put in the effort to seed the server.

The conquest server has no problems these past few nights. I monitored it today and it was packed within 15 minutes. It started with a couple of players, one with a TG tag. We can get the same going on the titan server but we'll need more TG'ers getting on it.

Jump on if you're interested in titan! I don't want that second ranked server going to waste.

I'm always up for seeding. I don't like the lag on the titan servers though.

Great job seeding the server yesterday! I was seeding for about the same amount of time as I did the other night and we got games going for a good chunk of the night. I was pleased to see both servers filled when I was finished playing for the night.

i joined with 18 people on and it was full within 30 minutes.

it is still full right now, actually. or, it was. it disappeared off my server browser a little bit ago...but that doesn't mean much.

god, i think EA stole their server browser and netcode from 1997.

I've tried the Titan mode several times and for whatever reason it absolutely crushes my framerate. It's somewhat playable (albeit barely) if I stay on the ground, it's an absolute slide show if I jump on the Titan.

That's unfortunate to hear. My post isn't directed at players that don't want to play titan mode or cannot play it because framerates are too low.

For those that want to play titan and are playing on other servers, this post is to encourage seeding of the TG server first.

Well Sarc and I tried to seed the server for a good 30 minutes a few hours ago, but without much success. On top of that, with my current settings, my fps does go under to around 18-25+ fps, which is why I was complaining about it being laggy on that server.

I really want to see more peeps on the Titan server especially when the Conquest one is filled.

I love titan mode, but until the patch to prevent COs moving the titans after it has been boarded it just isn't fun.

It is if you don't join in on the titan fun

or have an extremely high end system to help with the issue. Thankfully I have the latter. But even on my system I can see the issues.

Lets not forget the wall clipping issue that lets anyone immediately jump into the console 3 and 4 rooms, without first destroying 1 and 2.

I've only notice this once, luckly I was on the other side of the wall with my shotgun pointing in the right direction.

One thing you could try doing is sending messages in game to everyone on your buddy list, bugging them to come seed the Titan server. I've had success with that.

Another TGer showed me. it is extremely simple and hard to believe DICE missed it. The more popular the Titan server becomes with pubbies, expect it to happen more often. You might as well plan on making your stand at console one or two and forget about 3 and 4.

I'm aware of the various Titan exploits. Hopefully DICE fixes them in the next patch- if not I have some ideas about how to deal with the problem on our end.

HOWEVER, if you see anybody doing this, or just if a console goes down which shouldn't have, report it on Teamspeak immediately. Bonus points if you can catch the name of who's doing it. Apparently this happened on the weekend and nobody said anything about it until after the round was over. If people aren't going to bother reporting stuff like this, I don't want to hear any whining about it after the game's over either.
