Repairing supply boxes

I noticed that an Eng can repair the commander supply boxes. Just passing the info on. When the 'health' on the box gets too low they blow up and disappear. I imagine this is from random small arms fire. I received no repair points.

I think that's a bug to be honest. However the supply box's health actually translates into how much health and ammo it can dispense to people. I've actually sucked a supply box dry with ammo refills and patch jobs then just left it there to sucker other people with.
