I think mixing it up a bit between titan/conquest might do the trick, everyone would be able to get their fix.

It was my understanding you can't mix conq & titan modes without a server restart.

Yes, I do not believe it's practical to mix modes. We are considering a switch to 32 player sized Titan maps to cut down on whack-a-flag.

Wouldn't less people = more "whack-a-flag" since you wouldn't have enough people to defend and attack silos?

I think titan in general creates a lot of silo hopping because of the map layout. Conquest has more maps with concentrated choke points and linear paths for flag capture. Titan has larger areas with many ways to attack a silo. Somehow it makes it easier to get distracted.

The thing with the titan server is that 80% of the time I go online is prectically empty so I have only been able to play in it maybe twice.

I've been playing alot of Titan lately on our server. I guess I've been lucky as it's mostly full when I'm on. Also, the "lag" has decreased siginificantly since I changed all my settings to medium. It's made quite a difference in playability.

That hasn't been too often. I've been monitoring the server quite a bit and it gets far less traffic than the conquest server. It's just a really dead server. I had to seed it for an hour yesterday before a game started. We have to start making a name for ourselves with the second server.

It would be possible to mix 48 player Titan with 48 player Conquest. However, there are apparently some reliability issues.

The idea would be to have 48 players on a 32-player map, not 32 players on a 48 player map . I'm not sure if this is possible in Titan mode, however .
