The Reduced Player Count - Impression
Though I start an impression thread on the lowered player count.
Personally I really like the maps with less players, specially the maps that was design for 32 player infantry battles. Also feel that TG is playing a bigger role in the matches on both sides.
Now the next step, lets mix in a titan map every 3 maps or so.

I'd agree with all of the above. The change is great.
I would also like to see some Titan rounds rotated in if that is possible.

Conquest and titan modes cannot be mixed, it requires manual intervention to change the map list and restart the server (which would disconnect everyone). So although a popular idea to mix modes, its a no-go.
I prefer 50 players, it seems to aid a more organised feel on the server, squads have some space to get their act together.

I think that it is possible to mix game modes, it's just quite buggy.. like most things with our admin tool. The simpler we keep things, the better luck we have.

Yep, those servers are certainly out there. Not played on them much (I bail when Titan comes on) so I can't comment on stability.

Well if it crashes the server, then it should be a no-go. I don't think players want to reconnect everytime the server has to restart inorder to change gamemode.
And the 50 player count is good indeed. It still retains a good number to have larger battles but low enough where the squads formed can work as squads.

It would be nice to mix in titan but I think it's better to keep the game types separate. Too many players are staying away from titan and 2 more players would be dropped to accomodate titans 48 player max from conquest's current 50.
If we want some titan mixed in, we should seed the titan server. Although, we may have to wait until TG has a larger player base and 2142's next patch before trying to populate a titan server regularly.

Check out the ARMORY servers. It runs 3 conquest then one Titan map without any issues at all. It works really well and is a nice change of pace.
The lowered player count in the TG server has helped a ton. It reduced the server lag and playing 50 people on 32 player maps is much better than 64 on 64. I always thought the maps were too big for even their maximum allowed players.

I too enjoy the 48 player max (48 now since the reserve slot script, right?). And the 32 player vehicle maps are much better.
Once Titan/admin tools are stable I wouldn't mind seeing a Titan mode mixed in every 3 maps or so on the vehicle maps. I don't know if this would be possible with the reserve slot script additional player count 'buffer' though.

My impression of the 48 player limit on Titan maps was that it wasn't hard coded, just not supported. I think we'd be ok.

I would have to agree the 50 player max is a nice number for most maps. Much less congestion and lagg than when it was 64 players.
The only issue I see now, and please don't take this as complaining, is that the conquest mode server is almost always full and when I do get in I am usually kicked in an hour or so. On several occasions I have seen the titan mode server with 10 or less people in it during peak times. Has there been any thought about making the titan mode server a conquest mode server and possibly have certain days set aside each week for titan play?

hmm.. is there anyway to refer blocked/SM-kicked players to our Titan server? Possible to add a few more words to the "you've been kicked" popup?
