1.05 CTD's

Found this in the hypernia forums

"This is an issue related to the latest NVIDIA and ATi drivers. I have done in-house testing and asked for community feed back. Except for one person running NVIDIA drivers more than a year old all CTD’s are on NVIDIA drivers 93.71 and ATi drivers 6.11.

That's for the heads up Relmar, I hope my 91.47 nvidia patch will work with the 2142 1.05 patch.

I was able to load the game and join the TG conquest server with ATI 6-9. I wasn't able to stay in and play the game to check system stability.

How did this pass QA??

Do they think having the latest video card drivers is a small probability among the gaming populace?

It's also good to know that apparently all the coders and testers at dice that played the patch don't have the drivers on their own PC's up to date.

I'm curious that it's an issue that affects the latest versionf of both the nVidia and the ATI drivers, but not older drivers of either.

From reading through the threads, the assumption that older drivers worked doesn't seem to necessarily be the case for everyone.

Well, I'm still running the 84.21 drivers for my Geforce 6800GT. I played through several rounds of conquest without a hitch. Haven't played titan yet though. I hear it crashes at the end of the round. I'll have to play some this evening to see if it does it for me.

Yes, that really doesn't make sense at all. How could it be both? I think it's a cheap cop out excuse.
