Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
That commander screen feels like one giant bug. BF2's worked pretty well, dunno how they messed this one up. I've not figured out a reliable way to get to the ready-made communications like commend squad, etc. I have a hard time quickly figuring out which squad is talking to me, and I don't get good feedback regarding which squad I am talking to. Just a big PITA really.

You said it! LOL
It is pretty awkward trying to figure out which squads you're talking to and which squad is talking to you. I'm not even sure if the squad talk key does anything since no voip icon shows up. Sometimes I hear SL's talking to me but they sound like they're talking to their squad. The command screen is all confusing and really needs a facelift.

No, you can reload while hopping around like mad. It's annoying to be fighting someone, have them run out of ammo and then start bouncing around like a rabbit on crack while they reload. The suggestion I've had to stop bunny hopping before was to lower the jump hight significantly, and then have you 'climb over' an object if you jump while next to it.

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
I think the gun drone should act like the recon drone and show all enemies in a certain radius. By the time you keep your crosshairs over an enemy long enough for it to register on NetBat and your drone to start shooting, they've either been killed by you or ran behind cover.
Also the recon drone should be cloaked (or at least 80% or whatever) at all times. That way there would be a benefit of using recon instead of the gun one all the time.
Oh, and put a freaking 3d map icon over supply crates.|TG-33rd|Dark_Viper

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
I totally agree about the gun drone thing; it's nice and all, but usually not nearly as useful as the recon or bacon most of the time. Even on defense, when you have the option of respawning on your CP (given that it hasn't fallen already) and bacon would seem less useful, the gun drone just doesn't pull enough weight.
Also, if it would be possible to revert the TV missiles to their BF2 behavior (click with a crosshair to redirect the missile), that would make them, oh, I don't know, usuable again? Directing its movement with the mouse is so laggy and imprecise that I usually don't bother trying to launch missiles if I'm gunning. The fact that the missiles speed up over time doesn't help matters either.

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
I'd like to see the SL gun drone become as effective as the sentry gun. The sentry gun seems to spot and fire at the enemy faster than the SL gun drone from my observation.
Also, the Silo numbers are difficult to read on the HUD map when there are squads on (over) them and where you choose to spawn on the map. I can never see them clearly and always seem to get the numbers mixed up.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
Speaking of Sentry Guns...
Titan Defense and Sentry Guns...hate it. I'm usually playing recon...plopping down APMs near the entrance to a console hallway and a packet of C7 as a second line of explosive defence.
I hate Sentry Guns...they detect an enemy across the way and start spamming bullets at someone who has two walls between it and them. If there's 2 or more guns spamming, it lags something terrible.
Here I am trying to sneak/jump past my own team's guns to plant/re-plant charges & mines and half the time still get wounded by a friggin' sentry gun that's shooting at a tango with one or two bulkhead walls inbetween the two of 'em.
I recognize that there's an element of suppressive fire involved if a tango is hiding behind a rock out in the landscape, but bulkheads on a titan should prevent the triggering of Sentry Gun spamming.

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
1. Com Channel for Squad Leaders
2. Show all squads orders on the map
3. Bleed on infantry attack maps
4. Option to have double length (Double tickets / Titan Shield/ Titan health)in the game, this should double all time/kill requirements for one round awards at the same time.

I think longer rounds and saving the kit setup would be nice.
I think it's a good sign that the only game balance change was the assault rifle change. In BF2 every patch seemed to rework the game play. The Dirty

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
The sentry guns detecting movement through walls on the titan is just a DICE oversight or a bug. It's definitely not how the gun should work.

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
I believe including a droppable repair hub, similar to the AHUB-31 and MHUB-21, would improve the engineer class. Unlike the assault and supports classes, who can drop a hub and move for cover, an engineer must risk both enemy fire and accidental death trying to repair vehicles with the HOFF-300. The supply crates and DysTek Repair v2.0 repair vehicles within a certain radius without manual operation, so adding a repair hub should not create an imbalance. This new piece of equipment would simply allow engineers to earn repair points in the same manner as the other respective classes earn heal and re-supply points.
I would also like to see the developers review all of the various maps and eliminate some of the problems they have created in placing objects in certain locations. For example, many of the crates and boxes are placed in groups that can cause soldiers to become stuck between them without a way to get out. Several of the stacked piles of large pipes near buildings are placed so that soldiers cannot move along the wall and must move into open space to get around them, as well.

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
They may have tried giving engineers droppable repair pods but it made the vehicles overpowering. Imagine if 3-4 engineers dropped their pods next to a walker. It could practically never move and decimate anything that came close.
At least now you have the chance of shooting the engineers to stop the repairing. 4 or 5 repair pods with a Walker on Gibraltar [sp] or Berlin make me cringe just thinking about it

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
They could have the same functionality as dropping multiple ammo crates, once you drop a second the first one goes kaboom. Since that script is in place already, they could likely modify it so only one engineer repair pod can be dropped in a 100 meter radius, for the entire team instead of one player, or the others explode. Also, overheating could be put in place as another check.

Re: Simple things DICE could do to make the game better
A repair bot would be cool. They could have something like, only one repair bot can work on a vehicle at a time, and it tracks nearby friendly vehicles like a motion mines.
