Re: Public service announcement: RE: PDS-1 usage
Good to know, thanks for the heads up. I'll still use them on occasion though - it's just too useful when tank hunting for flag defense. I'll destroy them after I've burned the enemy armor though.

Re: Public service announcement: RE: PDS-1 usage
I've known about this for weeks and every time I try to tell people not to use one they just end up using it more, lol.
The PDS-1 is the most annoying thing in the world when playing commander. You're trying your damndest to help your team by effectively using the UAV and some jackass keeps dropping a PDS-1. I've even blown orbital strikes to get rid of them.

You don't have to destroy it...just pick it up with the 'G' key. It'll place it back in your inventory for use later, too.

Re: Public service announcement: RE: PDS-1 usage
Since unlocking the PDS-1 I've found it extremely effective. However, I'll try and not deploy them until they no longer interfere with the Commander as Relmar stated.

Re: Public service announcement: RE: PDS-1 usage
Good to know, I also used the PDS a lot. Havent seen any problems, but when I think about it my recon drone as SL did not seem to work that well on maps with a lot of those running.

Re: Public service announcement: RE: PDS-1 usage
Grr...that explains why sometimes the SLs are screaming at me to deploy a UAV in an area I've already deployed one.
Might have to go commando and destroy those enemy assets as payback.

Re: Public service announcement: RE: PDS-1 usage
Well, that is something new I just learned. I wonder, does it matter where you deploy the sensor? If I have a PDS deployed on one side of the map, does that mean UAVs won't work anywhere? Hmm, that's too bad. Oh well, it's a situational device anyways, just like the Clark or the SAAW 86.

It doesn't matter where the thing is deployed, it screws the UAV from detecting INFANTRY. The UAV will still detect vehicles because apparantly in the code somewhere, it's causing the UAV to act just like the PDS-1 for as long as the PDS-1 is activated.

Re: Public service announcement: RE: PDS-1 usage
I've seen the reverse happen too if you deploy the UAV then the PDS-1. The PDS-1 will start scanning infantry. It's such a shame...
