I don't know if the others feel the same as the squad I led last night but there was so much complaining.
"It's laggy. Conquest isn't like this." I didn't find it too bad and previous nights on the server didn't give me any lag so it could be a random problem. I've encountered lag on the conquest server but it's not every game. I understand if your connection is having a bad night, your PC specs don't run titan as well, or titan just doesn't run as well. Don't play titan instead of joining a game and complaining. I thought titan night would be filled with players interested in playing titan.
"I'm dying so much. I'm not having fun." It sort of comes with titan attack. The games are usually twice as long as conquest matches. The difference is most games don't end because you killed the other team more than they killed you.
"Lay a beacon down. Don't you have a beacon?" This is more complaining about SL leading style but I didn't like it either. I was trying something different. The titans were close enough to pod over and laying a beacon would still require players to pod in except to a known location. I thought a recon droid would be more useful and have squad members spawn directly on me.
Maybe it was the way I was leading but I didn't appreciate any of the comments. Negative talk during a game spreads like a disease. It makes it less fun for others and they start to think how much the game sucks. They start to believe the comments. I got frustrated and felt like I was the reason part of the squad wasn't enjoying the game. I was glad that my power went out so I could calm down.
I've been guilty of complaining during a game before. I try to keep it off mic but sometimes it slips. This is just a reminder to keep the negativity out and put any comments in the forums.
