Should TG allow cheaters on the server?
This is actually a more difficult question than it sounds. Yes, I know the automatic answer is a definate "Aw hell no" but wait a sec.
Its already known that BF2142 is filled with stat padders and exploit junkies. Its also known that these people do those things to get the highest rank possible so they can have all the unlocks when they start to really play. What happens if a Brigadier General comes on the server and starts playing? What do we do? You KNOW he's a cheater simply because his rank is one where you need 57700 points to unlock and the game has only been out a month and a half. But he doesn't actually cheat while playing because he feels no need since he's already got all the unlocks. He's a cheater because he padded his stats to get promotions he didn't deserve. He can also play as CO uncontested (highest ranked player gets CO position if multiple people apply) and goof off in that position. He's not really a cheater because he playing the game now that he has all the unlocks and toys rank gives you. What do we do? I'm asking because while playing on our server I've seen a few generals float by along with a number of marshalls and commissars. It was also hard to believe they achieved that rank because they were just plain horrible at it.

Re: Should TG allow cheaters on the server?
Thing is, if they cheated to get that far up the ranks, it's very unlikely they are going to play as a team, and are definitely not mature, of which both are requirements on the TG servers. So, no, they shouldn't be here.

Re: Should TG allow cheaters on the server?
I would normally report it to Jep first chance I get. That way those cheaters get the boot and don't ruin it for the rest of us.

Re: Should TG allow cheaters on the server?
But as long as they do use teamwork, does it really matter how they ranked up?
