The Future Of Teamwork

I played a few rounds last night and when the scoreboard loaded at the end of the round, I was greeted by an awesome sight. Two teams brimming with TG tagged players and visiting team players alike.

I just thought I'd post to acknowledge the efforts of everybody here who has worked to introduce new players to our style of play and also the admin team for sticking with what we all knew would be a tough ride.

Specifically, I'd like to say a big thanks to Panzer and Silver for writing and helping test our custom scripts respectively. Also Experiment626 and Jepzilla for putting bums on seats to admin the servers many nights, including Experiment's great work with LEARN TG squads.

Let's not forget Tempus and Apo for pushing all the buttons and getting the servers online and installed when needed. +rep to you all.

Being our first ranked servers, we all had our doubts whether the restrictions set by EA and the stats system would spell the demise of teamwork. Personally, I feel as though teamwork in 2142 is almost as good as it ever was on our unranked BF2 server and I can only see it getting better. Sure, the short rounds and low ticket counts can be annoying and the epic battles of old are no more, but I think we are closer than ever to revisiting the classic BF2 teamwork we are famous for.

Congratulations to all. Keep running those LEARN TG squads

Re: The Future Of Teamwork

I have to say that last night was the most fun I've had playing 2142 so far. I am sure it had to do with the fact that there were so many TGers around.

It was a nice feeling.

Re: The Future Of Teamwork

The only day this week I did not play (Wife and I got hooked on a season of 24)

This is really great, I hope we can get some of this during the weekend.

Thanks to everybody.

Maybe we could try a one day a week on our unranked server soon?

Re: The Future Of Teamwork

We are now in a strong position with our servers because;
  • We have the 90 sec squadless kick and SM reserved slots in place (props to Panzer)
  • We have a strong admin team to remove the negative influences (props to admin team)
  • We have veteran TGers and new TGers, exuding abundant teamwork (props to all)
  • We have the 'Learn TG' squads to welcome visitors (props to exp626 + BHack + FKD + Acreo Aeneas + many others)
The way I see it, there are thousands of random servers and then there is the sanctuary of teamwork 'TG'

I expect December to be a great month for us and for many new TG tag wearers to appear in our squads

Let the good times roll !

Re: The Future Of Teamwork

Yes. Lots of fun and teamwork. It's all coming together in an environment that will draw the team orientated player and repel the disruptive players.

Thanks to all the people up front and behind the scenes.

Is it just me or is Bommando's image link a little icon? I can't get it to full size.

Last night was truly great. I know our side had 2 TG squads and 2 Learn TG squads. The enemy also seemed to be populated by regulars. Great rounds. Bf2142 is really starting to come into its own on our servers. It also seems like we have picked up quite a few new regulars, forum members and SMs. I would think we can declare the game a success at this point?

Impressive Roster you posted there, Bommando. Big hugs to all who have worked to get this server to where it is! You guys even got my sister hooked to TG! Wait, that means less play time for me.... <shakes fist at you all>

Re: The Future Of Teamwork

Playing on your BF2142 server has been an awsome experience, and I've had some of the most exciting games I can remember there. You've made BF2142 completely the opposite of what I expected, and thats a good thing.

Thanks and keep it up

Re: The Future Of Teamwork

I enjoy the teamwork...but even more...I enjoy the challenge of playing against OPFOR squads of TG-ers that are ALSO using teamwork.

Last night was a blast.

Re: The Future Of Teamwork

I want to give a big "THANK YOU" to the guys running the LearnTG squads. I'm finding that hitting what I'm aiming for isn't the hard part of this game... the real challenge is using good teamwork and communicating, and this is where the LearnTG squads really shine. Helping people like this really says a lot about the community, and personally I'm very happy I found TG!

Thanks again!

Re: The Future Of Teamwork

Oh man, this is killin' me. Can't wait till next week when I can play game again. Right now all I can do is to drop by the forum and sputter. There is nothing like two TG squads from different team engaging in combat. I remember on time in Suez, the action is so tense it limited only around the dried lake and trash dump since both teams are so balaned.
