If you could remove a map from rotation on conquest server...

Which one would it be? I'd make this a poll if I knew how...can't seem to find it. Does this forum even have poll capability? lol, anyways...

The following maps were made for titan mode but can be played in conquest:

Suez Canal

Verdun

Shuhia Taiba

Minsk

Sidi Power Plant

Personally, if I could only choose one map that I'd like to see removed from the rotation, it'd be Shuhia Taiba. Why? It's too effin' big and mostly just boring vehicle combat. Infantry is WHERE IT'S AT!!! I usually leave the server if it goes to that level.

I'd love to hear what others think of these maps. I think Suez Canal is "tolerable" and verdun is borderline tolerable and horrid. Minsk is ok if you're defending, lol. Sidi I'm neutral. But if had to vote on one to remove, definitely Shuhia.

yea the infantry maps are where its at. But the vehicle maps are a nice change. As much as i like playing infantry maps, it would get old after a while, and running around bustin vehicles is tons of fun too. I really dont mind any of the maps and i think we have them in a good order.

Fav map by far is camp of gibraltar

I hate camp gibraltar. With smart tactics, it comes down to the attacking team holding the first flag and dying less than the other team. Every squad has the same objective: don't die. If the map weren't so linear with the flags, I'd like it. As it is, the map is too narrow for any flanking attacks.

Agreed. I usually quit the server when Camp Gibraltar pops up. The map is too straightforward and narrow, leaving the EU only one option: hold the Harbor as long as possible and prevent any PAC troops from sneaking to their rear and snatching the EU Base (which usually happens anyway).

The map is SO constricted that once the PAC soldiers get past the Harbor, the round is pretty much over and the EU suffer a delaying retreat in which they desperately hold onto the EU Base and the other two flags inside the "fortress".

I despise it. It always turns into a massive cluster**** with no room for strategy; just a massive meatgrinder.

Toll Station is the major choke point on CG. Holding the harbor is a waste of tickets. A smart team will block and hold Toll Station, which is much easier to defend and you can hold the attackers away from your spawn points.

Like Snail, I don't mind the armor maps. They are a break from the infantry maps.

If I remember correctly, Minsk was removed from the rotation sometime last weekend. Of the remaining maps, I would vote to remove the Sidi Power Plant. The layout is too wide-open for concentrated infantry conflict, which results in a lot of armor battles and very quick rounds. Most of the time, it seems the round is almost over, before squads have a chance to develop any type of strategy.

I can deal with all of them, but sidi is one of my least favorite.

Yea, I prefer all the infantry maps. If I could remove one of those maps, it would be Verdun, just because that is the most vehicle based map... I like Cerbere Landing most of all the maps.

Considering that Minsk isn't in the map rotation, I think you can guess what my opinion is. ;-)

I think Galbirtar should be removed. It usually ends up being a very long or very short round when that map is on. And some of those long battles never seem to end (we take a flag, we loose a flag, we retake, we loose again, repeat).

And Minsk by far is my favorite map (b/c I like urban/city maps mostly).

minsk isnt very urban or city like...not sure if you confused it with something else...as for gibraltar...please dont remove it as its my favorite and its many others too. I always get my most points on that one. Actually i get my most points on berlin as EU lol. Either way, its good the way it is.

Hmm must have confused it with Berlin?

I'm thinking of the one with the two tall buildings (office tower like) with curved roofs...

He said it ^^^^^^

I like it as it is now, team rotation helps a ton in keeping maps fresh and in different perspectives.
