Damn, you guys are getting good.
Well the days of people still "learning the game" are officially over.
We've got the unlocks, We've got the game knowledge, and We've got the talent. I'm already missing the days of not having to hide my squad beacons because people didn't really know what they were. Running into a squad on the TG server now means you really have to fight your ass off, and most importantly THINK about your situation and what tactics to employ. The challenge has gone up several notches and small mistakes will now leave you staring at the spawn timer as TG players have become crack shots. We've also all learned the maps, so map strategy has been developed and is used widely. My point is that we are ready for the scrims. Let' face off against some other gaming communities and show them why we were so successful in our BF2 scrims.

Yes, when I kill a fellow enemy TG member I know there's a whole squad backing them up and we're in for a fight.
fun!!edit: I was just awarded the "Purple Dart with Coalsack Nebula Cluster" what do I get? |

Re: Damn, you guys are getting good.
I also noticed the higher level of game play. Running into a TG squad usually means pure adrenaline fighting, and if you don't die it's even more rewarding!
I still think some of the maps are too tight and narrow which removes so much of the tactical play (camp Gibraltar comes to mind). But overall, I always enjoy a good game on the Conquest server and more and more on the Titan server as well. I'm up for a scrim.

Man, I think it is ripe for the community to expand and conker!
Best thing about playing with a TG squad is when you down or low on ammo, you are sure to be assisted. There are time I scream outta my throat for a med pack or ammo while all those who around me are all medics or support and get nothing just because I got stranded from my squad. In term of equipments I think TG is pretty much got everything we need. I got my Assault and Recon trees full to the brim. Support Left side is also full. Getting to my pilum in a very short time so I can pretty much do whatever my SL can ask for. |

People are really using the unlocks and now you have to think to avoid them. Motion mines and rockets seem to be the big unlocks now. Second floor balconies and roofs can be denied to infantry now with a quick barage of rocket attacks.

Re: Damn, you guys are getting good.
Hmm, I either get flattened by another TG squad or my squad flattens the other TG squad. Or we have a shooting match for a good 15 mins. where some random squad walks into the middle and flatten both TG squads

One of the things about the server I enjoy alot, besides the teamwork and the nice ping I get is the talented players I run into. Lots of fun and very challenging!

Re: Damn, you guys are getting good.
I very much notice what you are saying.
As a seasoned BattleWalker I used to have it alllllllll my own way... no more - too many things going pop flip wooowooo whizz-bang in my ears now and my Walker is doomed. S'good though, as it actually encourages teamplay to a high level - an unsupported battlewalker is a dead battlewalker - but with an engy (me-lol) and a good gunner it still owns. Clever game.

Re: Damn, you guys are getting good.
Absolutely - we're seeing more and more SL's come to the fore now - during primetime nights, it's easy to find multiple organized squads under the command of competent SL's, whether they wear TG tags or not.
My guess is that many of the veteran SL's are going to start stepping into the CO role as well. It'll be a natural progression and will help put more community regulars in the chair as opposed to the random drop-ins we see sometimes these days. A good CO really makes the game more enjoyable for everyone; as SL's and SM's we've all seen this impact. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks! |
