9th Mobile Infantry Detachment

We are proud to announce the recent formation of the 9th Mobile Infantry Detachment, an in-house squad developed around the Battlefield 2142 game. Our membership is working hard to build the foundation of a unit that will help promote the Tactical Gamer approach and style of play on the battlefields of tomorrow. Once our initial phase of development is finished, we plan to begin recruiting additional Supporting Members to fill our ranks.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has helped and supported us through the beginning stages of seeing our ideas turn into reality. In the coming weeks, we plan to post additional information about the 9th MID on TacticalWiki and intend to keep everyone updated on our progress through these forums.

FROM THE TACTICAL GAMER PRIMER. 3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine.
