Reward for Helping Seed Server
Kicked one game after it fills.
I guess i was the fifth on so therefor on longer than most, but kinda backwards when you sat through battlefield vehicle wars for a couple rounds to help bring about a full server. It appears coming to these forums was a bad idea. Feels because my name is recognized I get kicked into becoming a supporting member. It seems you dont want to kick potential customers before they've come to the forums if you can help it. Oh well. Live and learn. Interesting buissness tactic. I imagine its pretty successful. I'll need a new soldier soon anyhow. |

Re: Reward for Helping Seed Server
The script works by kicking the person that has been on the longest. give it a few minutes then try to rejoin.
Im not sure i understand the rest of your post but we dont force those who get kicked to become an SM. SMs pay the bills and get priority, only fair good luck

Re: Reward for Helping Seed Server
It does bring up a point that if you're a non-SM and are seeding the server, you will eventually get rewarded with a kick when the server gets full. It's more likely to happen on the conquest server since it gets full really fast. You'll get better luck on the titan server since it takes a couple of hours before the server gets filled. You're likely to get enough gaming in before getting kicked.
It sucks to get kicked to make room but you either live with it or you get a membership. |

Man
I wish the admins would lock these whiny assed posts and be done with it. Everything you need to know can be found in the sops so read them and agree or find another pubbie site to whine. I see more and more of these kind of posts and cant help but feel that TG needs to crack down on them. IronClaw |

I have to agree. The TG server is the best. Therefore I am willing to pay to make sure I have priority. It clearly states what happens when server is full if you read the SOPs. Here is a tip though. Once server reaches about 30 people. Leave and rejoin. This will make it so you arent the one on the longest.

Re: Reward for Helping Seed Server
Yea, I started off the seeding today, and we got a game going about an hour and a half later after some dropoffs killed the process. Leaving and rejoining right before a round ends should ensure you don't miss much, if anything.

I have been kicked after being on a while like I posted, and also after being on for just 2 or 3 minutes (so I was clearly not the longest on). Its not always the auto-kicker, or if it is, it is not kicking non-supporters who have been on the longest. So your tips to relog while appreciated would not solve anything. Anywho, I dont need a community that embraces negative filth like from IronClaw. So goodbye. If I join your server again it will be as an alt soldier, so as to avoid the shennanigans. |

Re: Reward for Helping Seed Server
I guess people need to read SOPs and the primer more. He wasnt posting that to be mean or harsh, was just point out that all your problems could be solved by reading the rules and other posts just like this.
Being kicked after 2-3 minutes, you may very welll have been the longest non-SM on the server, its just how the code works. But many others have been kicked and dont feel as jipped as others, guess we all live and learn

Re: Reward for Helping Seed Server
It is very unlikely that you were kicked for a SM after just a few minutes. Certainly, whenever someone IS kicked for a SM, they get a message telling them so. If you did not see a message to that effect, your kick was for a different reason.

p.s. This post reminded me to ask a question. Is our server capable of banning someone based of CDkey? Or is it just name? Or just IP? Edit: Talon, Ironclaw was right, your first post was a bit "whiny". If you really wanted to express your sadness about the situation, you went about it all wrong. And obviously NEVER even read the Rules or SOPs.

Re: Reward for Helping Seed Server
Dear everyone:
If something doesn't go your way 100% of the time, that is called "Life." There is no conspiracy, and not everyone is out to get you. If you are being kicked at times logically inconsistent with the published methods of our automated systems, apply Occam's Razor. Report a bug instead of coming down on the administration for kicking you because they recognize your name. We don't run servers and play games the way we do to ruin anyone's day. Quite the opposite; we try (damn hard) to give gamers who share our mindset a home worth coming back to night after night. If you're finding this experience isn't up to par, realize first that life happens, and second that our goal is to provide people with an enjoyable experience despite the rest of life happening. Patience helps. Understanding helps. Acerbic sarcasm like "Interesting buissness (sic) tactic. I imagine its pretty successful." does not help. We don't wake up in the morning aching for the chance to pee in your cheerios. Love, pokerface
