TG spoiled me
Well, I drew the short straw this morning - I got to stay home with my 3yo daughter and her stomach bug. She finally nodded off for a nap after hours of alternating between coloring and vomiting, and I decided to load up BF2142 for a few rounds. Let me say this: playing on TG servers has spoiled me. I found myself getting extremely frustrated at the lack or communication and teamwork on each of the servers I tried (and I tried quite a few) today. Not only was the lack of communication and teamwork annoying, it seemed there was a mutiny brewing every round.
I only wish I didn't have to wait until the evening hours for the TG servers to start to populate...

Re: TG spoiled me
I have had this happen to me a couple of weeks ago when one of my three kiddos was sick... but one of the things I found out quickly.........
when I play on other servers there are many times that I feel like an invincible god.. running around killing people left and right.. running around a titan and blowing consoles up by myself.. Its truly amazing how bad some players are on a lot of other servers.. That goes great till all of sudden.. one of you all use your buddy list and pow you KILL ME.. too funny.. lots of funSWTOR - Ashenhart - Sith Inquisitor

Re: TG spoiled me
When I get bored enough to play on other servers (In the morning, nobody is ever on the TG server before 4, no matter how much I seed
) you either go from invincible god to incredibly frustrated. I'm so used to people -not- being morons that I hop out of a tank to repair it and don't expect someone to steal it.
Protip: If a vehicle is on fire, and it's driver hops out to repair it before it explodes, it's an extremely good idea to jump in the vehicle and charge towards the enemy.

Re: TG spoiled me
If you think random play on the TG servers ruins pub land,
Just wait to the first BF2142 scrim. After that you will really be spoiled.
Have you guys had a scrim yet?
From what I understand, the BF2142 server is really clicking well now.
Congrats 9th. I like you'alls badge.

Re: TG spoiled me
I was doing the same thing on a server a few nights ago. Ramrod joined the server and after a few minutes, while we watched our walker sprint to certain death, we came to the same conclusion.
The worst part was that I just wanted to get my rank up. I had the points but I just couldn't get promoted.

Re: TG spoiled me
I just signed up for SM (cuz I plan on sticking around for a good while
), so as soon as I have a good plot of time to play, I'll meet you all on the CQ server!

Re: TG spoiled me
I would not be surprised if over time the TG primetime starts to extend itself into the afternoon and overnight hours. All it will take is 2142 to remain healthy and the word to continue to be spread about our servers.

Re: TG spoiled me
That would be nice. I wonder, how much does it cost to run a 2142 server? It would be awesome to get a second ranked Conquest server, considering the masses who throng to the existing one, but it would come down to whether TG, and in turn the SMs, could afford it, and if the cost would be worth it. Because, I gotta tell ya, TG has spoiled something fierce. I don't even want to bother with the other servers now, because I know I will always see friendly faces (virtual faces, granted) and know what the atmosphere will be, which is awesome by the way. It's almost sad in the fact that I'll sit there for five minutes hitting the refresh button, waiting for an open slot. If I could, I'd be an SM, but alas, I don't have the funds. See what you've done, TG? You've made a (almost) fanatic!

Re: TG spoiled me
Hey, pub play gives you leeway to indulge in all the forbidden practices not allowed on TG servers.
I have insane amounts of fun loading up a buggy with C7 and charging it into a group of pubbies.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blah blah blah.
