How do the top-ranked players on the leaderboards manage it?
Check out the Overall leader. WoKeN, I believe.
The game's been out for around 7 weeks now. Give or take. In 7 weeks time, this WoKeN fellow has logged 620 hours of playtime. Guys, if he plays the same amount of time each day (every day) he'd have to average 13 hours per day to get to that total.
13 hours a day.
How the hell?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blah blah blah.

If you go into your BFHQ in game, and just go down the list of leaders, it won't take you long to find a stats set like this
Kills - 300
Score 56,789
Hours played - 56
A lot of them used the Titan Ground gun hack. Something about putting an ammo hub in the titan gun control area and shooting, it gave you about 150+ points everytime someone fired the guns off.
Now i'm not saying that ALL of them did that, but there are QUITE a few who have.
Take a look for yourselves some time. All the forces of Evil need to Succeed is for enough Good men to do nothing.

Now if he could just get paid for playing it would all be worth it.
I know if you're a pro you can get paid but if only there was a way to get paid for casual play..."I've been working since I was sixteen. I fought in two wars. Hell, I've killed people. I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy it..."

The way you tell and the way you can compare yourself is the SPM. Woken averages about 2.21 which is pretty good. It also shows hes actually playing. I average 2.17 ish so he is better then me =(

Re: How do the top-ranked players on the leaderboards manage it?
Higher SPM doesn't make you a better player, though maybe it's a good place to start. I think that being a 'good' player in the Battlefield series needs more than your ability to shoot, revive and repair.
Discipline goes a long way to making you a better player. One squad, or a few squad members holding a back flag / silo on defence may not see action for a few minutes, during which time their SPM is steadily decreasing. However, when the enemy comes to try and claim an 'easy capture', those defenders are ready and may repel the assault. They may score a few points in kills and heals, but not as much as they would have if they were fighting on the front line. Nonetheless, they have just made an enormous contriubition to the team.
It's cool to see all the stuff that gets tracked about your playtime - it lets you see areas you can improve in, or can reveal trends that you didn't think were there. Here at TG though, we play for the objective, not for score.

well Woken has a very good W/L ratio as well, but this can be inflated by switching teams can't it?
