Yeah, jumping into claymored vents for 3 hours isn't my idea of a good time.

We could try modifying the kick message to say 'Try our Titan server!', heh.

Yet you rather run blindly into the Harbor on Camp Gibraltar where the entire enemy team is sitting, waiting for you to come up the little hill? And since if you don't attack you will lose, everyone is forced to run through the meat grinder. Where as Titan, you don't have to assault the enemy titan to win. You can just hold silos and avoid the potential meat grinder, and still come out victorious.

In one i have more control then the other. I can just flank the "meat-grinder" and shoot them in the back.

Yeah, it's a shame most folks prefer conquest. I personally enjoy titan mode since game play is more dynamic and everyone has to think/plan/stategize a little more in order to be successful. I think it's great that Dice really tried to push the envelope with variants on game play.

Yeah, I'm totally with you there. I'm curious to actually see roughly what percent of TGers prefer titan over conquest. Wouldn't it be ironic if half or more didn't mind (or preferred) titan mode but continue to play on the conquest server since that's the one that's always populated.

In any case, I'm thinking if we made titan "fridays" into 2 or 3 times a week on certain days, that'd be a perfect way to take out the grind factor out of conquest mode. I'm looking at *you*, Camp Gibraltar!

Re: Thx for the games, but I am out

I guess we got of topic a little. To get back on topic. The member fee is not just for playing a game its to support this community of team players. Look at all the games we support its just not BF2142. Also you get other services when joining check out all the things you get before you think its to expensive.

I work so for me its not that much money but I can understand if you do not make much money it can be expensive, but do a quick budget check and see how much you spend on other items. Maybe one of those other items per month can be reduced or eliminated.

I think this says alot!! I joined TG from another game (World of Warcraft) and at the time I dont know that I really understood how big TG really was. Yes I understood there are folks within TG playing other games but what I didnt realize was the quality of which TG attracts. TG is a mature community of like minded players that love to have fun playing together and are constantly helping each other improve their game.

If your just looking for a place to play a game.. then cool there are hundreds of other servers to play on but if your looking for quality players and quality servers.. then that must cost something.. right?!?! The $6.33 a month is to help contribute to a community of like minded players. The $6.33 a month helps keep forums open and servers up.. and so many other things. I believe that this is such very very small price to pay. IMO Especially when I know that in reality it takes so much more than this to keep this community going. This community runs on volunteer help and all the time and effort that goes into that is totally priceles. I also totally love being able to play WoW, 2142, BF2, Eve, Company of Heroes or whatever strikes me at the time and I have a quality bunch of people to play with. Without TG those games would be worthless to me!!

Thanks TG!!

Re: Thx for the games, but I am out

Like many here, this game (and BF2 when I fuond TG) would be totally worthles to me without TG servers. The difference in gameplay between TG servers and Pub servers is so dramatic, there is no way I will ever go back to pub servers. It certainly is worth the 80$ I pay every year.
My two cents.

Cool Re: Thx for the games, but I am out

Well since you guys brought up the prepay option, you have given me something to think about. That 6.33 seems reasonable.

I also thank you for not flaming me off the board.

I am just frustrated at times becuase the gameplay can get so good and I see on the bottom in yellow script.....Player DeadOnAim being kicked to make room for a paying member, please visit us again.

I totally understand the costs with running a server. I guess you could say I did the same at one time but on a much smaller scale when I played XBox Live. I had a seperate XBox and a seperate DSL connection and I ran servers, usually RB6. With the cost of the extra game disk, XBox and extra DSL connection it would prob average out to 100/mo and the only time I got a donation from my team was a one time thing of ten dollars from one guy

Maybe in the next few days there will be a new member

P.S. Even if I do become a member, I would advocate using another server for Conquest or whatever so others can enjoy the game and your awesome network without being booted.

*edit* I would play Titan if there is a group interested...

Glad you took the time to come back and hear us out.. and why we believe the money is well spent. Again being a "mature" gaming community.. I doubt you would get totally flamed... We look forward to seeing you back on the servers.. SM or not.

Glad you are thinking about it DeadOnAim.. I started over a year ago.. TG might as well have an open line to my bank.

Just like Ashenhart said, I dont think anyone of us here would do that. Your a good player and I believe all of us would love to see a talented player back.

I also have to agree with Bommando. Without TG I probley be back playing Everquest again.
