I unlocked it. Just to get to the Lambert. (right side of the tree). APMs and RDX are handy. The lambert is like a scaled down Voss IMO.

Well your first two unlocks in the Recon tree are APM and RDX and if you dont play that kit then you dont get to use them...

Now I do at some point while playing I will choose them in a field upgrade.. which on a TG server only takes a round or two to get all your field upgrades.. then you get the chance to add it to your kit. I actually came back as Recon just last night and took the enemies assets.. was alot of fun.. was especially kinda comical when Yoyii decided he would try his hand at it.. and we put about 4 RDX on an asset and he got a little happy with the trigger and blew both of us up.. .LoL... We were laughing sooo hard!!!!

sniping is tons of fun...If i need some chill time, ill start a snipe squad and just sit back, relax, and pop some heads. Its a nice change of pace.

That is so much more like it. But for some reason when I am installing 1.10, everytime when I get to the part where its supposed to install the updates a box comes up saying "Patching Failed". When I played, it was still 1.06! Then McAfee repeatedly asks me if I want to grant BF2142pace.exe access to the internet no matter how many times I say yes or no! o.O

I really want to play with the new patch but this might be a problem. The sources I used to get the patch were via Xfire and EA Link. (And I didn't beta test 1.10.)

Bah, I install the patch, get an "already have bewest version", find an easy fix (http://www.totalbf2142.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=14081). Patch installs fine, now I crash to desktop when I run it... awesome. Time to reinstal 2142

For me, reinstalling takes a couple of hours X( (I downloaded mine from EA Link). It's when I have to reinstall that I regret not going out to buy the CD.

I already had the install files on my computer (glad I'm too lazy to clear cache files).

Also after some playing tonight I can say this:

Camo is awesome. I'm not sure if it's because its so good, or no one is used to the new look of it, but it is truly awesome now.

Has anyone else noticed that the SL recon drone is MUCH more fragile than before? I swear I lost 15 of them tonight; I don't think I've lost 10 combined in all my playing time before tonight.

GANZ is MUCH better. I had well over 30 kills with it two maps in a row on gibraltar. A second or two of fire is all you need. It still is more of a defensive weapon - i.e. you should really find a spot where you know theyre coming and go prone with scope. Im definately taking it on all vehicle maps. If its an infantry map and im on offense ill prolly go with the defaults cuz i know im not gonna have time to set up before i fire. But all in all i think its a damn good weapon.

And yes, they fixed the PDS
