An eternal pox upon Bommando and his rockets.

I had a frustrating match on Gibraltar due to those damned things.

You know, I was so impressed that you mustered up the courage to come out of your cowering-hole for long enough to return fire that I thought you deserved a freebie

I'll be covering their use in TGU a week after New Years if anyone is interested. I'd better get some killing in before then, because once my secret's out, it's going to be open season

Put the crosshair on your target's cover, right click and take a snapshot of the range, then 1 or 3 clicks forward on your mouse wheel and fire away. The secret is out

The rockets pick up the distance just a little bit above the crosshair when you zoom in with them, but yeah this is how I do it

above the top of the cross-hair? interesting... this is the part I've had trouble with in my very limited time using the rockets: getting the range dialed in right.

I think everyone knows how they work technically. That's like saying shooting a gun in the game is as simple as clicking the left mouse button. Therefore anyone who knows how to left-click will be able to use a gun to its full effect. We all know that's not the case.

Of course, I'm not the only one who knows how to use them well and I know a few people can cause a lot of damage with them. Hopefully a TGU lesson will demystify their power for those who haven't used them to their full potential

I wish I had rockets... At this point, the game is pretty unforgiving to newbies with everyone running around with rockets.

People to stay away from when they have rockets:

1) Bommando
2) BHack
3) Fehmart

Re: An eternal pox upon Bommando and his rockets.

I picked up some dead guy's kit last night and so actually got a chance to use the AR Rockets. They sure are a lot of fun. I managed to scoop up a few kills on Tunis Harbour while using these that I would never have made otherwise.

Now that many people have unlocked this little goodie, I'm seeing them become a standard weapon, of sorts. One particularly impressive display was on Berlin, when I was tasked with defending the Square CP. The second floor balconies surrounding this capture point made it difficult for both teams to effectively exchange conventional fire, so out came the AR rockets.

Seeing so many rocket contrails going between the balconies was like watching the smoke trails at an air show. Except these smoke trails kept hitting me in the face, which sucked.

I don't agree. I thought this at first as well. I got the game a couple of weeks after everyone else and didn't find it to be prohibitive. If you work with good squads and follow orders, you rack up the career points like no tomorrow. At your current rank Sordavie, you would probably be able to unlock the rockets within 2-3 hours. You're just annoyed because you chose to go up the silly sniper tree

Remember, field unlocks are also a good way to plan ahead by only unlocking the items below the one you actually want. You should earn your first field unlock within the first 10 minutes of play. Most squads I work with get all 10 within 2-3 rounds.

Ah, no, not me. I had some guys in my squad the other night who were new. But, I do wish I had rockets. I pick up kits with rockets whenever I can.
