Titan/Conquest mix?!

So not to hijack another thread I wanted to start some conversation on a 4:1 conquest:titan mix server.

I am a person who is not a fan of titan, and I think the numbers will show our conquest server is the more popular of the two. So I for one would not be against a 4:1 mix server. Would allow for the titan TGers and the conquest TGers to play on the same server?

Just a few thoughts from a non Titan player.

It's slow, buggy, the maps aren't diverse or fast-paced so I really don't like titan much perhaps if they released a camp gibralter titan map maybe.

I was thinking keep the 100% conquest one. For folks like you.

Perhaps change the titan to a titan/conquest combo. Titan players dont hurt me!

I believe that when you switch game modes, the server must completely restart, bumping everybody off the server. Now, imagine getting bumped off and having to rejoin every 5th round, or even having to re-seed the server every 5th round.

I may be mistaken about the server restart, though. Correct me as neccessary.

Why not just replace all the large conquest maps with there Titan counterparts?

I've played in other servers that had a titan-conquest rotation and I wasn't disconected

Hm, this one is a tough call. I love playing CQ the TG way (as opposed to pubbies) and would like to play more Titan (but not the pubbie way)...and unfortunately except for the designated nights the TG Titan server is empty.
I like Zoopy's suggestion though...that may work.

I think as it is now besides the few nights were fatkid calls a "Titan Night" the titan server is unused, I wouldnt mind seeing official titan nights and have the titan server swithced to conquest on the off days.

I would agree with this only if "Titan Night" was at least 3-5 times a week.

You guys can organize Titan Nights as often as you like. If enough of you are interested, it should turn out to be a success.

I can't play titan at this time. I have a video bug the blacks out the moment you enter the titan. I reinstalled and looked for hours for a fix but I seem to be the only one with the problem. Not to hijack, sorry. Don't reply a fix, I tryed all the normal stuff.

So when your all on the Titan server I'll be on conquest and running the learn TG squad

This should be fixed by changing you lighting settings (either up or down I can't remember)

Titan mode is tactically broken. That is why I don't personally care for it much. It just turns into silo hopping. Incredibly annoying silo hopping, since you can not only spawn on transports and apc's, but if the titan is moved somewhere in the center of the map you can just pod huge distances to silos.

It's not a fun game when the enemy can come from any direction, and because of the design of when missles fire, the best strategy is to actually never defend, just silo hop faster than the enemy does. It's lame.
