When will we be able to use Dual monitor in BF series??
I have been wondering for ages: why can we not use our dual monitor setup with the BF series? If there is one game that could really use a dual monitor setup, it's Battlefield 2 and BF2142. I mean, Imagine having a map in permanent display on your second monitor. Or the list of squads + the map. Things like that.
Or what if the Commander could have two maps displayed at the same time: one large overview and one zoomed in on a particular section.
I really wonder why the second monitor is not put to use...|TG|drjones666

because it'll probably give everyone an "Unfair advantage" like wide scree monitors. cough....

It can't give everyone an unfair advantage because if everyone had such an advantage, it wouldn't be unfair.

I was about to say that would be pretty sucky, your crosshair would be right in the centre between your monitors, but having other misc stuff on the second would be very useful. I usually just stick TS on my second monitor.

It would be nice to pull up the map and drag it onto one screen while you play on the other.

Sadly very few games support widescreen and even less support dual screens. If you and rts Fan the sequel to all the total anihilation seriers is coming out (Supreme Commander). Suppose to have dual screen support.

I know from holding a Quake 2 server for 2 years that the Fov was fixed at 90 degrees. I figure the same would be for BF. Now wide screen (which I never owned one) I think in theory would give you more then 90 degrees. Is that correct and why you say that widescreen already give you more of a advantage or is there another reason?

Re: When will we be able to use Dual monitor in BF series??
The supposed advantage widescreen gives you is insignificant. Nearly every other modern game worth playing has widescreen support, including multiplayer FPS'. It's really just about EA/DICE making an issue out of nothing because they are too lazy to fix their sub-standard game engine.
