2 minutes is good with me. 3 minutes and i think even TGs will start to get bored. Especially on the round change.

We have a guy in the 9th that takes about 1 minute to load in on map change. I am not overstating either. We love for him to lead 9th squads but is difficult to get setup etc.

I say if anything we start at 2:00 and see how it feels.

In my experience, forming and joining squads does seem to take up a lot of the initial delay period before each round. If it is at all possible, making squads persistent from one round to the next might help make this time a bit more productive for everyone. It might also allow squads formed in-game to work more cohesively as a unit.

There is no intentional clearing of the Squads - the Teamswitch function clears them and there is no known possibility to prevent that.


...unless you want to play 2 Round on the PAC side of Berlin in a row!

It is not possible to maintain continuity with squads from round to round with our current server setup. I kind of like the lack of squad continuity though; it helps keep squad leaders and squad composition rotating.

it doesn't take much time to form and join a squad, but a lot of times people playing what i kind of think of as a game of "squad leader chicken." as the timer counts down, people see which person flinches and makes the squad.

Even when i know i'm going to SL, i try and wait a little bit to let the slow loaders to join. Plus, the pubbies tend to join a squad right away, and if you wait, you get regulars and TGs.
