Re: ‘BF2142 Squad VOIP Teamwork’ fraps videos on GoogleVideos
I have a problem with a lingering cold and a terrible cough. Unfortunately the damn microphone records everything even if you aren't touching the talk button, so my FRAPs videos are stuttered with coughing fits right now.
It's also not as interesting as a squad member. I need to do some more SL'ing, but my few SL attempts lately are only when the regular SL leaves and noone else wants to take over.

Here ya go. Keep in mind that mine may look quite as teamplay oriented, but I don't squad lead, and, more importantly, I don't have the full version of FRAPS.
Cheers!

There's another video up that's raw footage. It's has some good VOIP planning but the video was so short that none of the plan was seen in action. It's just the viewer listening to someone doing a mic check, kitting out (after spawning thus getting killed), then crashing a gunship (without a gunner).
The effort is meaningful but I think it's misrepresenting TG. If we're going to put up videos, they should be the quality of Silver's videos. They'll require editing and good footage. We shouldn't put up every single video we've recorded just because it was recorded.

I got a good clip of Fehmart coaching me through the gunners seat position of the gunship. I'll put that up this weekend.

Ya, I agree. I edited the audio so that some of the meaningful voip was heard (even tho that's not where it was happening on the video). Do you guys want me to delete it, cuz I will, if you think it reflects negatively on TG?
I'm probly just not going to be able to do anything much w/ the trial version of fraps, and I'm not going to pay $40 for it. Do yall know of any open source/ free program that does the same thing?

I need to up my video quality it looks like and image size. Google sucks out alot of what I put in, but it looks like I could have used a larger size for this.
EDIT: Crap, looks like I'm going to have to kill this one and re-render it. I just realized someone swears in it as well. I need to edit that out.

Re: ‘BF2142 Squad VOIP Teamwork’ fraps videos on GoogleVideos
Hey Dirty, nice post - it turns out that I sound better over the mic than I thought I would . It was also strange to see me play from 3rd person perspective. Since it was just last night, I could remember where I was as I gave sitreps over the comms but seeing the action through your viewpoint at the same time was - weird. Felt like I was in two places at once.
For the record, our squad leader that night on Dirty's video was Tempus. I think he got left out of the beginning credits.

Re: ‘BF2142 Squad VOIP Teamwork’ fraps videos on GoogleVideos
The squad leader was Vendi. The second round of Belgrade both Vendi and Tempus had squads, but I was busy at the beginning and didn't get into either. I made my own squad up and didn't do so well.
Anyway, I realize that this one should be #5. I swear I did a search last night and only 1, 2, and that unnamed video came up.

Re: ‘BF2142 Squad VOIP Teamwork’ fraps videos on GoogleVideos
I was just watching Gunship Funship again and a funny image just popped into my head of the stereotype - British pilots with flight goggles and caps, sipping tea with crumpets while flying their death machine.
"Tank to the NorthWest, ovarh."
"Right-o - bringin 'er 'round"
*boom*
"Good shot, spot on! Ovarh."

Re: ‘BF2142 Squad VOIP Teamwork’ fraps videos on GoogleVideos
Thanatos thats exactly how it goes down. We Euros always dress up for our battlefield sessions. The Brits have their tea ready for when they are idle and waiting to be revived, I always sport my Lederhosen for the event and PanzerHans feels right at home in 2142 because in Norway he is living in a present-day iceage anyway! I am working on teaching the guys how to yodel, but it will take some practice before we can put that on video.
