Yep I was in a clan for a short period that played Galactic Conquest. The mod was killed off when SW Battlefront came-out which was very similar to that BF42 mod. A few of the developers from GC are part of the First Strike crew, while many of the others moved on to form prolificgames.com working on a new IP "Shattered Faith" for BF2. There webpage no longer loads and the last update was more than 6 months year ago, so it appears they group may have dissolved: http://mods.moddb.com/5522/shattered-faith/

If you thought weapons had bad deviation in normal Battlefield, just wait until you try a blaster rifle. If they want to be true to the movies, you won't be able to hit the broad side of a barn with one.

unless your Playing the Rebel side, in that case YOUR blaster rifle is pretty accurate. And Han Solo and Luke ALWAYS hit their targets.. damn hazors

well, you see, the imperials have to wear that body armor (which though it looks damn good apparently doesn't do anything in stopping even Ewok thrown rocks). The body armor makes it hard to move or see. Han and Luke are unarmored.

I only played the first Battlefront. I thought it sucked. Didn't expect much out of number 2 so I never bothered with it. Seemed pretty dumb...fighting an army of bots dumber that rocks.

LOL, that got me picturing the scene from Ep2, on the waterworld place. Showing Bio pictures of everyone of them.. nice.

Uh, fighting bots in Battlefront is about as fun as fighting bots in Battlefield 2. That's not a fair comparison. It would make more sense to compare Battlefrond 2 against people with BF2 against people, and Battlefront stacks up pretty well. I wouldn't say it's better, but then again, BF2 doesn't have any TIE Fighters, so it's kind of a tossup for a huge Star Wars fan like me.

Yeah. If I remember correctly, in the multiplayer Battlefront 1 you were still fighting massive amounts of bots. Only difference was there were real people in the mix as well. Was Battlefront 2 like this?

Which goes to show that Star Wars (ESPECIALLY the prequels) obeys some of the Laws of Anime, namely Laws 3, 4, 7, 11, 15, and ESPECIALLY LAW 16.
