Booster Pack info :
hey guys saw new info on booster pack :
It's the announcement everyone has been anticipating and we finally have some information on it. EA has put up a product page for the Battlefield 2142 expansion entitled Northern Strike.
Update: The page has been password protected. To view a screenshot of the full page click the image below or here.
The PAC (Pan Asian Coalition) has secretly moved into northern and central Europe, using abandoned urban areas to establish new strongholds. Intense close-quarters warfare awaits the EU forces when they mobilize troops for a full-force assault to claim back their land. The Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike™ Booster Pack brings all-out infantry-focused battles into new snow-covered battlegrounds across Europe.

Three new maps provide the setting for the Booster Pack. High up in the Alps the EU uses launch pods to launch an assault on a PAC Titan docking harbour on the map Port Bavaria. Bridge at Remagen, the scene for one of WWII’s major battles, is once again the setting for intense battles as both sides fight to secure the bridge. Finally, night has fallen when the EU launches their assault on the city in the Liberation of Leipzig..
Battlefield 2142: Infantry Storm offers an asymmetrical vehicle set-up with one new vehicle available to each army. The heavy IFV Goliath is a massive, slow-moving firing platform available to the EU, the attacking side, only. It is used to provide cover, as well as health and ammunition, to nearby infantrymen. The fast-moving hovering light IFV Speeder, available to the defending PAC only, is an efficient vehicle killer when staffed by a well coordinated pilot/gunner team

Re: Booster Pack info :
Wow. EA really is going to make the same mistake twice.

Re: Booster Pack info :
So this will be like special forces in BF2, where everyone buys it just for better unlocks but still plays the original?

Re: Booster Pack info :
Well this is what i will say.
Same mistake twice?....Not quite.
In previous booster packs they were pretty much just vehicles maps that no one really played (except for the great wall map which was awesome) Infantry Storm provides to the masses what they actually enjoy and thats infantry maps. So i for one will be purchasing. after all it's only 10 dollars.

Re: Booster Pack info :
There are ten unlocks that can be used in the core game, that means a patch is coming our way.

Re: Booster Pack info :
Curious if this means an addition of 10 ranks is in order or we just get them like BF2
They are also coming out with a game mode similar to POE2s Frontline "Assault Lines" Game mode
"Unlock Credits Earned in Booster usable in core game" means that you need the booster to use them in the full game.
I liked SF =) just the maps were very laggy specifically that boat one.

Re: Booster Pack info :
We will discuss this amongst the admin team, but judging by the total lack of success that the last booster packs had, I'd say it doesn't look good. We'll see, though.

If you want to go to a non-TG server that does, sure.

Let's hope we will support the booster packs.
I actually enjoy(ed) the booster packs in BF 2. The new maps and vehicles were well done in my opinion. They simply were not embraced, for which I cannot fully explain.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: Booster Pack info :
It would be nice to change the Titan server over to use the booster packs and be Titan only on Fridays. I don't know what the stats are on that server, but I've never seen it utilized unless it's a specific TGITF.
The booster is specificly infantry focused, and I am all for that. I'll be getting it no matter if TG supports it or not, but other than the crazy unlocks, it sounds like it's right up the alley of what people like to play here. The Dirty
