Obviously. X made the statement of like only 25% health. Also, feel free to hop out if your walker is tipping and you are SURE it's gonna blow. I had a round of Gibraltar in which the walker fell at toll but didn't hit the ground it got stuck and still functioned.

Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
I only leave my vehicles when I see the red flashes and a missile coming at me (and i usually die anyway).
But yeah, it is kind of annoying seeing that the enemy takes your tank because the guy bailed out too early.
lol, once I got lost in Cerbere Landing (don't ask how) in a walker and ended falling off that mountain at the south of Church (it was epic how the walker felt on its head).Obviously. Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
There is another side to it. Sometimes a piece that only needs 1 more hit is left as bait for you to jump in. It has happened to me numerous times because I am also the kind of guy that prefers to go down with the piece or try to rescue an enemy piece that's on its last legs. It works both ways so be aware of your surroundings.

Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
Good bump oniell.
I was playing last week and an enemy actually jumped out of his tank to repair it while he was surrounded by my entire squad! Needless to say, my engineer happily got in and off'ed the poor guy with his repair tool still in hand. Not that I minded the shining gift of armor, but yes, I say, die with your vehicles!

Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
it isn't that rediculous, truthfully. it happens far too often, and has the potential *in the right hands, and there are MANY* to completely turn the tide of battle. Nothing better (or worse depending on which side) than having BOTH walkers on your side, in capable hands. That means that not only do you have a massive amount of firepower, but the enemy walker never respawns! I can't tell you the number of times i've bailed in a walker/tank/etc. when it was down to 10-20 health, and have someone jump into it only to be promptly met by my pilum round and blown up. yes, I am evil like that.

Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
The whole point of the thread was not to take risks with armor when you bail out.
I will gladly take a death in armor if I'm any where near enemies.Reapator, overlord of ponies

Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
Same here. Even as an SL, it's better for you to have to respawn than allow the enemy another walker.

Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
meh... give me emps and a squad with a spine... we will have that walker down in no time!
also: I didnt quite get this; do you have to die within your gunship when you are taken down by the enemy gunship squad?, just so they can get the points they deserve2412: TG Displacio or TG Wazzaup

Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
I think the gunship is different. Save the tickets if you feel the gunship is lost.. At least your not offering it to the enemy to use against you. That is the point of this thread, and also, to try not to lose it in the first place..

Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
I usually go down with the ship in reguards to the gunship. it was their hard won (or not, as the case is sometimes) points, they deserve to get them imo.

Re: Die With Your Vehicle!
Captain of the Titanic went down with the ship, you do it too! Me? I do it for the band that sunk too.
