More than one TG
FYI: There is another group out there that uses TG tags....they are "The Guardians" and they have a site set up at www.guardianhq.com
Yes, they play 2142. Before you start wondering if they (or anyone else who has TG in their tags) are trying to "cheat" the kick system or are "little pubs runing around with our tags" keep in mind that TG is a pair of letters that may have more than one affiliation. I've worn "TG" tags before during my Mechwarrior2 days...they stood for "The Gargoyles." That was almost a decade ago...TacticalGamer may have been around back then (don't really know the founding date) or may not have but it certainly wasn't why I was wearing TG in my name at the time. For those who get pissy when you see someone playing with "your" tags: There's a world outside of TacticalGamer. To truly have a TG-mentality, you should give them a chance. Instead of being vocal about it on TS or posting a rant on the forums, you should be leading by example and showing them what the TacticalGamer acronym is all about. Maybe there is a TG-8th out there somewhere. Maybe there's an identical TG-9th set of tags out there who are big into Unreal Tournament. It's not your place to judge another player's character or ability based upon an in-game name. For admins and everyone else: Ask 'em what their tags stand for before you decide to blacklist them.

Re: More than one TG
You lie....
Seriously, I hardly ever pay attention to the TG tags I don't instantly recognize, mainly because there's simply too many people with them to keep track. I see a TG tag and I just assume that I haven't played with them before, or that they're new. |
