All we have to do to win is knife kill Bommando once. Then the rest is up to his team dealing with him!

Bump.

Honestly, what I have seen so far has been pretty weak-sauce.

The teams are so unevenly matched in our favor it really isn't worth rubbing it in. I'm pretty sure the 9th are getting a little scared too and that is why they have quieted down.

Re: The First Ever 2142 Scrim Trash Talk Thread

It's the young upstarts (9th) vs the veterans (7th). I have a feeling that Team Alpha is going to be handing out lessons in this match that will send the 9th scurrying back to the drawing board.

No faith in us. I am predicting 2 very close matches.

Prediction 31-0 and 0-8

Re: The First Ever 2142 Scrim Trash Talk Thread

I'm sorry to simi-hijack this thread, as this isn't trash talk, but I'll make this as quick as can be; so that those of us in TG who are really just big kids who never grew up can get back to throwing sticks.

I must say that we 9th boys will be taught a lesson or two, that's to be expected given the time difference the two squads have been together.

However, in just a few short months, the 9th is clicking. I recall one night were the 9th was dominating the Conquest server. It got so bad that people started to complain. We had just finished the first round on Belgrade (where again we took top honors) and were forced to the other team...that second round...our side won.

I'm sure the 7th, or any other squad for that matter, can boast such a thing. I just wanted to get it out there for those who have already given the scrim to the 7th.

Re: The First Ever 2142 Scrim Trash Talk Thread

All organized squads are going to have success eventually. That's the benefit of getting organized in the first place.

We once had a scrim here in BF2.. Basically the 7th vs. the rest of the squads/community. Good times were had there.

Now, regarding my trash talking earlier.. That's what it is -- trash talk -- as this IS a trash-talking thread after all.

Also, remember, there are 3 rounds. I hope we can play Belgrade regardless of the outcome of the 1st two rounds, as Belgrade is the best map in 2142!

Many of the active 2142 7th members are new to 2142 and the older 7th as well: Fehm, Thanatos, Zid, Kazi, and Jonan for example.

Re: The First Ever 2142 Scrim Trash Talk Thread

Public Apology-

Sorry guys, I've run out of material. I can't think of any more insults to throw around.

I've tried Shakespeare, only to meet with limited response (partially due to a lack of brainpower by the respondent).

I've tried making intestinal jokes, only to have Irregulars run their mouths as much as the aftermath of a night drinking Miller Highlife (Champagne of Beers my ass...that stuff is laxative with hangovers as a side-effect).

I've tried insulting the Commander-elect for Alpha team, and all he did was +Rep me for it, so that sure as hell didn't work.

The only thing I have left in my bag of tricks are a handful of worn-out mamma jokes with a badly-mangled punchline.

I hereby resign from "King of SmackTalk." Sorry guys, but smacktalking Alpha team is like trying to insult your dog...when you call them stupid, they just wag their tails and pant happily because they're getting some attention.

I'd go back to the drawingboard as Tempus suggested, but if I have to draw 'em a picture, they'd only get about two or three of the thousand words that it's worth.
