    the bridge one is awful awful awful, but the other two maps are pretty good. I suggest TG support it. it's only 10 bucks after all.

    darn! I was thinking that that would be a fun map.

    So, what IS this new game type they keep talking about but never actually DESCRIBE?

    It does describe it in the review. It just means that the final main base is uncappable until all other bases have been taken. It's like Advance And Secure, but only the PAC main base is effected.

    Obviously you weren't here for BF2's boosters. What a disaster that was, not only for us, but for EA too. Can't believe they are doing it again.

    A very good idea, the new game type, IMO.

    Anyone know if we'll be able to mix game types - to have both Northern Strike and vanilla on one server?

    yeah. imagine a normal assault map. Take Cerbere. But the assaulting team can't capture Command Center without first taking every other flag. It basically keeps people from just going around to the back, taking the base with all the material assets and holding that.

    No, I wasn't. But from what I hear the expansion was kind of doomed from the start. I don't think that's true of this expansion. Plus, from the sounds of it, we'll have at least enough supporting members to keep it up at first.

    My real concern is that there won't be enough pubbies to fill out the ranks.

    I *still* miss the grappling hooks and ziplines from BF2 special forces. They were one of the best features this series has ever seen imo.

    I'm really hoping to see some cqb fights. That was the allure of titan mode but the lag just killed it for me.

    That and the titan battles were too linear, just pop up 6 sentry guns, a shield, and 10 ammo boxes and grenade camp the entrances to the hallways
