WOW thanks, P!! What a huge pipe on that site .. Im touching 850KB/sec (not bits, BYTES) on it, and I usually only get that kind of speed from a national weapons lab or a major university during a Holiday break when no one is there using it.

I pay my cable company $15 extra a month for a 3MB/sec pipe so it's good to be able to use it once in a while.

Re: 1.2 out?

I got my very first crash after the 1.2 patch was installed... not the infamous CTD.. a true need-to-reboot-blank-blue-screen with BF2142 sound effects skipping in a loop...

Re: 1.2 out?

One very minor thing I like about the new patch is that it automagically brings up the BF2142 G15 LCD widget. I used to have to cycle through by hand to select it, and now I don't have to. Not a big deal at all, just kinda handy.

I started D/L the patch without using EA-LINK and it looked like it was going to take 6 hours..

Is it me or does the normal support gun do less damage. There where a few times where I just plugged bullets into people and it didn't seem to leave much of a mark nor kill them.

Re: 1.2 out?

Are the air strikes stronger or did I just get unlucky last night? I probably died every single time there was one any where close to my location.

It shoots this glowing flare, which is a timed explosive charge. There is a pretty big arc on it and not much distance. It's hard to aim it anywhere and real tuff to kill anyone as you have to time it to where they are going to be in 3 or 4 seconds rather than where they are now. The explosive is not that strong. I don't know if it would kill anyone in one shot even if someone was stanfing on top of it. It may have some situational uses, but other than titan corridors, I can't think what they are. Apparently it does very little damage to armour as well.

It seems like every time I got revived with someone elses pack, I was an engineer with the RDX shotgun. The problem with it, is that even though it's pretty useless, it's still fun to launch those explosive flares around.

Many people here have been reporting weapons doing little or no damage, not just your support weapon.

Re: 1.2 out?

Have any other SL's experienced the 'exploding Otus' bug? Last night, I was playing through a few maps and about 75% of the time I tried to deploy my Otus, it exploded immediately.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that NS Beta users experienced this bug every so often. Personally, it has never happened to me before the 1.20 patch.
