I think the lag is caused by the titans moving. Before i came onto TG, i would preaty much play on a titan only server, but the thing was that you cant move the titan. This server had very little lag. On tg today, i went from about 40-45 FPS to 10-15 on titan (thanks for the info fraps) I know its not that my vid card cant support titan, geforce 7600 and the 40 FPS is on med-high setting (some things like lighting are turned down but textures are high.) So, im not sure if its this new patch "optimizing" titans, or the titans moving. Whatever it is, i recommend taking titan out of the mix till its fixed.
Note, im not going to effect my conquest gfx to get good preformace on titan maps. If EA would have a seperate setting for titan and conquest, then i would turn titan gfx down. |

PROTIP 2: We need 1 recon, 2 support (mmm, RDX), lots of medics. NOT SIX OR MORE RECONS. Engies are ok too if they know to shoot the reactor and get behind cover once the RDX is down. I dunno, I don't have a lot of problems with titan mode on this server. The titan server honestly sucked. I don't know why. This one can run it ok. Sides, people get their frag frenzy fix after titan. Minsk titan -> Camp Gibraltar! |

Yes, Commanding on titan mode is awful. People disregard your orders when sheilds are down. They are drawn to whichever titan has no shields like some bizzaro moth. Also as mentioned before, the lag is due to server issues and not your "4 year old video card". I was lagging badly and I have a 8800GTX.

I've never had lag issues on Titan since the 1.10 patch came out. The reasons it get laggy are because either the titans are extremely too close, or someone is in the Titan's AA guns spamming the other Titan AA guns. You cannot kill those guns with yours. And that is what causes the extreme lag.
Also, I've never had issues with the drop pods either. You can have all 6 loaded. I've seen it done. As for launching, perhaps can can only launch 1 or two at a time, but there is no reason for a whole squad to be in it. Hold Spawn, and the SL pods over. I really do enjoy Titan, and I'm glad to see its been added to the rotation. I just hope that everyone at least tries to suffer through for a little more than a few days before officially making up their minds.

I love it! MY FPS were great, but of course a bit slower on board the titan. Keep it in, its way fun! Its also a great break from the conquest rotation...

I had fun on it tonight but I've always liked Titan. I did notice it was harder to CO but it played much better then the days of the Titan server. Most squads were willing to bunker down and hold silos rather then flag hop.
I managed to TK only a few people with the Titan guns but that's why I was saying that squads need to have their own members on the guns; so they can coordinate with the ground forces. I can't see infantry from up there :/
