Re: Play Nice!
Great Post!
I would like to add that even if you do not wear that tags, you shold be just as respectful. The attitude of everyone in a server can help determine the players' concept of how the server operates. I have yet to put tags on, but try my best to treat everyone with the same respect.
By the way, it is hard as hell to tell someone that bunny-jumping is against the rules when they are trying to kill you!! LMAO

Re: Play Nice!
Okay I see what you re saying but we do need to ban some of these blatant idiots that get on here. I couldnt even play commander for getting knifed by someone on my own team (yes, we were winning). I think we attract people who want to come Break our rules and take advantage of the fact that we have them. Stealing from UCB is one thing but teammates knifing commanders is another. I dont see admins very often lately, we need a Blacklist to report on so when enough Members and Known Trustworthy Players report someone they can be removed.
For Godsakes get some of these idiots off here. The first person on the list is MoJoe22. Tired of being knifed by my own team.I invited everyone at the office to play Battlefield, but it was a rather one side match when I was the only who brought an assault rifle to work the next day :-)

I admit, I usually ask a admin to kick/ban annoying spawn campers.
I have noticed the trend lately and have tried to refrain from any "command" suggestions to admins, especially Bom.Acreo Aeneas

Re: Play Nice!
Heh heh. Anyways, I've noticed something disturbing since NS released. As the admin console is broke, and no Admins are on TS (at least not when I ask
), both the number of smacktards and the severity of smacktardery has increased remarkably. When I see it, I type "ADMIN ADMIN and then the name of the offender and the offense". Also, I ask TG squaddies if they are on TS to report it. Sadly, there usually aren't any admins on (It's a conspiracy I tell you) so we are stuck. If it's my team, I try to correct them, but I won't hesitate to report my teammates. Also, is it wrong to have a list of all the people who deserve(d) a kick or ban? Because I could name names. I won't, but I can. Anyways, can we get this 'situation' under control? NS has potential, but not when a-holes are spoiling it.
Thanks for another reminder Pengie. (I still need your tags
)

Re: Play Nice!
Yea, the teams have been very bad on the NS server, like tonight there were ~10 regs on one side and 3 on the other
Not much fun with teams like that.

Re: Play Nice!
Thanks Bom. I'll try to do that. And I know there isn't a competition, it was offered in jest.

Re: Play Nice!
As a frequent guest (you guys have by-far the best squad-play 2142 servers out there) and new supporting member... I can say I've never encountered a TG-tagged player who was disrespectful or tainted the "TG" community at all.
Now I've been wasted so many times in the game by TGer's, almost like I'm kitted out as a hare krishna, not an actual "soldier" - but that's all part of the game!
Great community!

Re: Play Nice!
I noticed that my team was a little stacked with the TG members. In fact, I think MDawg was leading my squad that particuar round (who did a really awesome job) which was full of solid TGers. I feel kind of bad for Mugzy... at one point late in the round my squad was holding the Hotel flag (in preparation for launching an attack on Monorail, which never happened) and Mugzy tried to slip around the west behind us twice. He didn't appear to have any support and he was pincered by myself and either Napalm or Cylon each time (that I know of).
I put a very brief AAR here...

Re: Play Nice!
Yeah, I had just joined and happened to be placed on the TG-lopsided team. I always try to switch to the losing team once the ticket margin gets large enough, so when I clicked on the team tab to do a team switch, it wouldn't switch me. Has anyone else ever experienced this? This has happened before with me a couple times, so I'm not sure if its a bug or if some special conditions need to be in place in order to switch teams (and I'm pretty sure the server wasn't full).
After I gave up, I felt dumb when we were assaulting a flag where Mugsy was obviously abandoned and trying to defend it solo. I knew you had to be really frustrated and it made me feel like crap. Ugh.
While we're on this topic, for three nights in a row earlier this week, almost all the TGs were on the same team (Mugsy can back me up on this--he was there with me). Not only that, the win margin was well over 100 tickets game after game after game. Not only does this take away the fun factor for everyone, we're not broadcasting a very inviting message to prospective TGers. Anyway, guys, please please give this some thought next time you're joining the server...
Andy
