Bring Your Goliath Skillz!
Massive, slow, powerfull, tough, jammed with firepower! The Goliath is all of these and its tough to take down.
But its SOOO sweet when you do get that golden break in its guard and land that killer blow!
Well, most of the time you get some massive points and usually a metal.
Share your tactics on how to CUT THE BEAST DOWN!

Rail Gun <--repairs-- Engineer <--Heals/Revives--- Medic (x2 even better, but really... the Goliath's lack of heavy artillery is more of a weakness than it's speed)

Railguns, railguns, railguns.
I took 3 down in a round and did it this way... Railgun does the most dmg per second out of all the anti-armor weapons. But you can't move it. I took 2 out this way after repeated hits. Frist hits took out the pannels in one hit each, then land repeated hits on the hual and help that team helps you out.

bulk up motion mines behind a crate and let it rip into it. If you put all 5 together and time your Rocket/HVR you can take out that Goliath with all its repair pannels up and running. I did confirm this.The soldier formerly known as, Eroak.

I had some luck shooting repair cells with the grenade launcher. Seems like they go down with a well placed 4-shot volley.

I have had some good success with the walkers. I tend to use the mobility of the walkers to make a big circle around the goliath and then approach from its rear flank. two sets of 4 rockets takes it down fast.

I've only taken 1 down by myself and that was just shooting out the panels with my pilum over 3 deaths then motion mines and the last pilum shot. Someone else might have been shooting at it as well wasn't paying attention.
I have taken out a couple in the Beta with some nice teamwork though. One I was commander and had a squad leader put 5 rdx on it right before I orbital striked it and it worked well. The other time we had 3 engineers with ll 5 motion mines out and all threw our bait at the same time I was just lucky enough to get the kill.

I got 4 so far and I took the first one out by waiting till it was almost dead and then fired my pilum at it... Since that moment, I stay with the goliath (at a resonable distance) and take it out when it is heavily damaged...

:P Only wanted to do it with the first 2 goliaths I would encounter to get that ribbon ASAP but I found this to be quite funny and destroying goliaths gets you more than 1 kill in most cases

This was mentioned in a previous post, but can you place the RDX in the road and destroy it from underneath? Seems that would be the weakest point. I have not had the opportunity to try this yet.

One decent thing to do is place motion mines in a large group and then use the motion-mine grenade to send them at the Goliath at once. I got my one and only Goliath kill that way. Of course, that was after it had its repair panels destroyed.
