Song I am working on - Bullet Catcher
Bullet Catcher -28º mix (Drum & Bass)
Howdy TG'ers, I figured I would share what I am currently working on in the times that I am not getting my buttocks handed to me on our servers. :-)
This is a song that I originally started working on waaaaay back when 1942 came out for OSX. I would have to say something around '04 or '05. Not really sure. But its been a long time since I have worked on it in this measure of dedication.
After already becoming more and more addicted to 2142, I decided to resurrect this old track and try to update it. I hijacked a few other rifts that are new to 2142 and started slicing and dicing and making a huge amount of changes (basically redoing the entire song). But this time in Live and Acid.
So here's where I am at. I should be done in a week or so. As I have been working on it nightly between hard rounds to cool off my bullet catching.
Enjoy

ROFL.
Sounds like a rapper remixed the 2142 orchestra music.

Re: Song I am working on - Bullet Catcher
Not bad. Of course, I don't know that much about music (read: tin ear) so my opinion is not as weighty as it otherwise would be
.
Anyways, this wouldn't be bad to run while playing BF2142, although it might be a touch distracting ("Cool music...WTF! I JUST GOT KNIFED! I DIDN'T HEAR HIM! HACKER! Oh, yeah, uh, music is running, whoops.
)

After listening to it a few more times, it would be nice if there were some sort of lyrics to it. Fill in some lyrics that go with the title of "Bullet Catcher". And that would complete the song and make us all awe at your skills.

Re: Song I am working on - Bullet Catcher
Thanks TG! The feedback is appreciated. Just to let ya know, its almost done. I've had a bunch of time to work on it this week due to my graphics card going cokehead on me.
Ive been trying to get some audio rec's of some of the ingame rose chatter. Specially the MEDIC! cries to add in. But where I am sitting right now, it might be good without some vocals. Maybe theres a vocal edit due after this.
In reply to Cappy, I setup the beats in Battery, Reason and Live. Used Acid to bpm the original 1942 load screen score and then just sliced, diced, effected and arranged in Acid and Live. There are a few off the shelf loops used in there. So nopers, no keyboarding on this one.
Should be a few days before its done... I know I can sit here and tweak it till my eyes bleed. So I will have to stop sometime heh.
Thanks again!Last edited by deephousedj; 03-18-2007 at 02:38 AM. Reason: i can't seem to spell

Do I have your permission to use your 'Bullet Catcher' in future movies
