My apologies to my friendly fire victims

I just wanted to apologize in the event that I have TK'd you or in the slight chance that I do it in the near future.

My transition from WoW to BF2142 has not come without some rust on the "twitch" needed for FPS'ers. That combined with the fact that I'm sticking with a support spec means I need to get better at quick recognition of the uniform differences!

So if you've fallen victim to me as a TK, I want to apologize. Last night I brutally gunned down Sajier and a couple other teammates. Please understand it's never intentional.

I will get better.....I think :P

heh, tell me about it. I seem to Tk most when I'm SLing. i turn around and suddenly a guy pops next to me - first instinct is to shoot him, good job I'm usually medic so I can heal him up whilst apologising profusely.

worst TKs are the misplaced nade. you have a few seconds to realize that you are about to kill a freindly, and there is nothing you can do. by the time you blurt out "lookout!" over VOIP (assuming they are even in your squad) the nade goes off. I think in the future, im just going to say "I love you" just before the nade goes off. at least I will be amused.

Same here for me. Also, I have TK'd a few in intense battles.

"I love you" < rofl.

Re: My apologies to my friendly fire victims

hahahaha... funniest TK for me was when I was SL w/ C4 on the flag... 3-4 soldiers ran into the little flag area and I ask if I should blow it (I couldn't discern friend/foe). One of my SM's yells "NO NO NO!!"... of course I heard "NOW NOW NOW" ...

<hilarity ensued>

-12, thank you very much! <doh!>

What i hate is when a friendly squad runs into nade, and get 3 or4 TK's, and all punish you, and suddenly you go from a good round, to the negative points

Suddenly i'm glad i'm not actually in the military fighting alongside you guys.
I guess i'm not free from blame though, so I can't be too harsh.

well if i mis-threw a grenade i'd do what the guy in the thin red line did when he accidentally pulled the pin. it's not right to kill you all for my mistake

Re: My apologies to my friendly fire victims

Here's a great punishment story ... Verdun, take out a marauding walker with a VERY long Pilum shot, and the friendly UNDER the walker when the pilum round blows it DIES and punishes me.

I'm still not exactly sure how that worked but I swear it happened.

Re: My apologies to my friendly fire victims

Or how about the 3 or 4 rockets you sent flying at a few boxes around an enemy flag from long range. You know there are enemies there, you just saw them go prone to cap the flag. You line up your shot, fire off your full compliment of rockets only to watch an entire squad of friendlies come out of the woodwork and squat down right where you've sent your care package. Sometimes it's just too painful to watch...

That has happened to me on Belgrade when I am firing rockets from statue to playground. I betting that is where you are talking about too
