Sigh, this is why I like to play sniper.

Assault conflict:
Aero: [turns and meets eyes with lorax]
Lorax: [looks lovingly back at aero]
*they start to dance*
One wins, probably lorax....cause I say so.

Sniper conflict w/ assault:
Guardian: "geez, I'm bored.....hey! what's that....and enemy"
*zooms in....sees aero*
Guardian over TS: "hey aero, what's that in your eye?"
*Guardian exacts well aimed justice down upon unsuspecting prey*
Guardian (happy with his triumph): "hahaha.....*silence*"
*watching 15 PK rockets slam in to his face, cause he also had somthing in his eye*

In conclusion, this made no sense. I have my bets on Lorax.

Sure, maybe you have mad l33t skillz and can take me down with a blitz aim shot to the head (or crotch, cause that hurts like a mofo and no number of revives can dull that pain), but I have faith in my squad to revive me, with time to spare on the clock, and reward you for your efforts in any way they see fit...

Actually, this has happened more than once, I just wish it ended the way you say it more often than it has...

Re: Somebody Bom Yelled At?

heh, I didn't mean for it to sound like i was calling you out. I was just stating pure fact. And just so you know, I hardly ever play serious, so sometimes I may just run around a corner, see someone and just charge at him with my finger held on the trigger.

I try to find humor in every way possible, even if it means walking into a deathtrap of 5 assaults, just to take two down with me, fully knowing that they will probably be revived. But I just love the fact that I can take out 2 or more guys when it's 1 vs 5.

no worries, I try to keep it light and friendly even if it appears things could be taking an ugly turn.

Before reading on, understand that what I'm about to propose or say is not a reflection on you.

I'm also not saying that "taking two or more members of a squad down is easy and here's why"... There are indeed people who can dodge, circle strafe, switch weapons, reload, etc without missing a beat all the while keeping the targeting reticle high and tight racking up the kills.

I am more stating an observation I've made when squads I've been in have found themselves in a situation where a single enemy has managed to deposit themselves squarely in the middle of our ranks and, at times, take a few or all of us down. I do not believe this is a result of sheer skill, as some do.

I believe the primary reason for this is because the squad is concentrating more on not teamkilling each other and are taking the "safer" shots. The lone enemy doesn't have this concern (since the TKs actually work to his or her advantage) and can move about freely shooting (or knifing, ugh) at will. I believe the counter to this is to immediately spread out and aim low, say at the legs and feet, to avoid getting someone caught in friendly cross-fire...

Re: Somebody Bom Yelled At?

Yes, that is the sort of thing that allows me to do things like this. And also, these are some great tips that I will take to heart. I have often found it difficult to hit lone people in the middle of our squads for this very reason.

To counter this, I'll often strafe till I can get a clear shot at the target, or I'll aim straight for their chest so I know I won't accidentally get one of my teammates behind the contact.

And just so you know, I'm not one for running into a squad, I much rather hang back about 5 to 10 meters away from the mass of people, preferably behind cover so I can pop and take out the squad members systematically. But you must be quick (and I mean super quick, especially with in-house squads), or you'll often find a frag or two below your feet within seconds, or even worse, rockets. My best hope is that the confusion of having two of your squadmates die in less than two seconds will cause the squad to be sluggish to respond, allowing me to pick off a few more before one of them has the time to pull out a frag.

But, I can say from experience that fighting as a team is much more efficient. I can tell you right now, that I'm at my best when I have a squad to back me up. Sure sometimes teammates will get in the way, but that's just something you have to deal with. Ultimately, having more people will make the enemy have to pick which target to take out first, then, chances are, they won't be firing at you, which gives you much more time to place your rounds, and finally, if you screw up, you have the confidence that your team will either finish the job, or help you in correcting the error.

FINAL THOUGHTS: If you want to play Rambo and come at me and my squad solo, prepare to meet two of my buddies, Bullet One and Bullet Two.
