Sc1ence, You said what I was thinking. You also can pickup another players backpack, put down his Med Hub, Pick up your pack and lay down your hub. At one moment I had 4 med hubs a 1 ammo hub.

I'm not to worried about gunships and SAAWs. People just don't use them to much. Also the longer tracking will make "jinking" maneuvers more effictive. The EMP on the AA turret, I been saying it since day one they need to tone down the range on that thing. The missle tracking is very nice for the gunships. I have blowen all 5 rounds on dogfights and only come out with one hit. Never could figure that one out.

I'm welcoming these changes.

Yeah..... at the start of the round.... once I have annoyed a few tanks and some squads 1-2 always spawn with SAWW.


The changes make gunship more easy. Because often a SAWW would just ignore your shield and kill you anyway. The ground AA EMP would reach you anywhere till deep inside the UCB.

With the Chaingun boosts you dont have to stand still anymore for your gunner to hit stuff. I been downed more by pilums than SAWWs when I was gunner and pilots just HAD to over over than infantry squad.

I'm sure you would have to play on a server thats been updated also....

so for you guys that haven't played a beta yet,,, make a copy of you 2142 game folder,, you can place it right back into you 2142 folder.

then you will have a 2142 folder and a copy of 2142 folder.... the copy folder will be your original 2142 folder.....

then download the update and install,,, the icon on your desktop will start the beta 2142... some people change the name back and forth so you can play the original or the beta..... but i don't,, to much work lol

if you go into your copy of 2142 folder and just create a shortcut to your 2142 pace.exe folder and send it to your desktop its works the same way and you don't have to constantly go back into the folder and change the names back and forth.

My worst experience with APM's was in Camp Glibralter. I was in Fehmart's squad. He, I and one other person were crouching our way past an APM going south from Toll Station and some not-so-very-educated-and-possibly-new-to-the-game person sprints rights through us, sets off the APM, and kills all four of us.

Fehmart was surprisingly quiet about it. At least... over VOIP.

I just discovered this minor detail the other night on Camp Gibraltor. I had three medic hubs and two ammo hubs at strategic locations defending Toll Booth. The support points coming in were mind-boggling. I almost felt guilty about it and started wondering if it was some sort of exploit.

I dont think it's really a exploit. On the field of real battle you can pickup others gear and use it on top of your own. You might not be able to carry it all but you can atleast use it all at that location. The bug where you drop your med hub and get another in your kit right away is a exploit because your not supposed to have 2 in your kit, or atleast that quickly.
