Post Daytime and Early Admin Coverage

Recent of late I have been noticing two things. One, the lack of admins on the servers and two an increase in population that I don't want to play with. What I mean by that? Bunny hoppers, run and gunners, suiciders, UCB, and knife whores, vehicle stealers, and killers. Perhaps I am just playing at the wrong time of day and need to get on later but I will say a few days ago for the first time I actually left the server because of how silly it was getting. Perhaps I just need to take a break for a little bit and blow off some steam. Perhaps, like I said before, I am playing at the wrong times. I usually play between 1800 and 2200 GMT and am usually done for the night. I would appreciate to get in some enjoyable games in this short time frame rather than, out of boredom leave the server and play some other tactically oriented game like...Close Combat IV or V? :P

Once again this is not a rant, just one of my many peaceful observations. Hopefully I am not a crazy psychopath seeing things and other people will...maybe...agree with me?

I've seen this too. I've been wondering where the admins have been at night?

I think i agree that there is more of it. significantly so over the past 2 weeks. but for some perspective. go play on another pub for 10 mins.
TG was empty this morning, and i wanted to get some quick fraggin in. I hopped on to a full server that I used to play on before i found TG. it was insane. teamkilled for a railgun, EVERYONE bunnyhops. if you get out of your vehicle anywhere near a freindly they steal it, and run you over in the process. half the server is not in a sqaud. those that are in a sqaud do not work together, rdx jeepers etc...

yes TG may be experience some fluctution right now. perhaps it is normal variability, perhaps it is one admin or two having less time over the past week. but it still beats the pants off of a standard pub. That being said. if the admin team thinks there is someone mature enough to handle the responsability, then by all means, we could use another admin. I have seen plenty of time when there were no admins on.

What time is "early"? As I have a consistent free early schedule (1pm eastern onwards)

I was just in the server right now (7pm eastern) and theres so much crazyness going on in there right now. bunny hopping, dolphin diving, stealing tanks from ucbs.

Sadly, your totally right. I play on times like that too, and it's really sad to see bunny hoppers, baserapers and ALOT of vehicle stealers and there's no admin to report to.. Wish this could be solved. What also annoys me is that noobs who totally seem to have no idea what Tactical Gamer is about, join the server and join a squad like Tactics. What happens next is that they spawn recon, move to the main chokepoints (doing their own things) and ignore my orders, that's just frustrating. Ok, I could kick them from the squad but that doesn't solve the problem because then another noob joins my squad. (this doesn't mean I get noob squads all the time, I have had some fabulous rounds.. -mostly with TG guys that is-)
So why do these non-teamplayers really bother to join the TG server?!

Ah, your young yet Concr3te but you can still take them under your wing and show them the right way to play. Do it enough times and all of a sudden you end up with a full squad every day with guys who know who you are and play exactly how YOU want them to.

Well, you are right. Some of the pubbies who joined my squad ended up in my buddy list and even became a TG regular so maybe it's kinda working. I'll just go ahead and do my job then: showing pubbies the right way -the TG way-!

Thanks for the responses, it's comforting to know that I'm not alone here.

There seems to be a lot of BAD knifers lately. I'll be crouched laying down fire and I'll hear a swipe of the knife, hop up, turn around and they're done for. They just keep trying to knife me. The few times I do knife people, I always have my finger on #3 in case I miss or they hear me. The amount of loaner tactics is amazing though. I've come around a corner and seen 5 guys just walking around close to each other and killed them all. That is impossible with at least one TG member in a squad because of spots. Makes for a good k/d ratio though. And A LOT of people are complaining about the 1:30 start clock. I guess they just don't understand that that's NOT enough time for people that play on the server a lot.

Im usually playing between 4pm and 1am on weekdays and until the server actually becomes unpopulated during the weekend so I'd be happy to cover those times if i had the privilege

Re: Daytime and Early Admin Coverage

What saddened me tonight on Berlin was seeing at least two guys with TG tags in and around the UCB. One of them was even a member of an in-house squad. Not really interested in naming names, since I'm hoping maybe they just got carried aways and didn't notice... but given they kept coming back I am pretty sure that's just wishful thinking.
