I'm like an upgrade-aholic and I keep searching for something to be better than my 518, which I have had forever. I might go with this, but I don't know, yet.

I don't know how you could say no to a G7. Laser precision, sensitivity adjustment, wireless, quick-change batteries, black carbon fiber...wow.

It only has one thumb button... Major disadvantage (Unless there is a new G7 with two thumb buttons). A mouse can never have enough buttons.

They should put a laser on the bottom of my keyboard and I could slide that around. I am sure that would be enough buttons.

Re: I didn't know Logitech came out with a new G5....

I've had a cordless and I doubt I'll ever get another. It has no advantage unless you actually move somewhere else and use it. My mouse never leaves the pad. It's like getting a laptop computer that never leaves your desk, except you still have to swap batteries.

yeah. if it's something that really matters to you, i'm sure the wireless is nice, but I see no reason to have to paw through the mess on my desk to find a charged battery every so often.

I will take a corded mouse over wireless any day of the week when it comes to gaming.

That wouldn't work since you'd need both hands to move the whole keyboard making it more awkward. Now, if you had a separate entity like just the number pad off the keyboard with a laser attached to it, that would be awesome

Feet of the MX510 are not as slippery as newer mice. I really want to upgrade now that it has the 2 buttons. $70 though? Ouch!

Re: I didn't know Logitech came out with a new G5....

What I would really be interested in is when you don't have to use a mouse and keyboard at all. You just think it and it happens. When perfected this will probally give you a hiuge advantage over other players.
