Re: I didn't know Logitech came out with a new G5....
Hey, I just received the G5, 2007 edition, and I thought I'd give some feedback...
First up, the buttons: the extra thumb button really rocks, it's ideal for switching between weapons and stuff, in my opinion it's a really good choice to map them to the 5 and 6 keys because you'll have quick access to your items. Next, the sensivity: This is the same as the normal G5 I believe but it's still really nice to change the it on the fly. Third, the shape and feeling: Well, I think you definitely need to get used to it but it doesn't take too long. And if you are you'll find that it's really well formed. Also the little weight cartridges are fun to play with, if you want a heavier or lighter mouse. The slide-thingeys are okay too, it slides really smoothly. Last on the list, the looks: This is of course personal preference but I really like the blue-and-black spiderweb motive. I have only seen the common G5 on pictures so I don't really know what it's like so I can't compare the two either. Conclusion: I think the new G5 is really worth the cash because of it's new thumb buttons, so if you're looking for a nice gaming mouse I'd go for this one. ![]() Last edited by Concr3te; 04-07-2007 at 09:27 AM. |

Agreed. It just now feels comfortable in my hand. Oh, and this mouse is totally worthless for left handed people, so don't bother. ![]() |
