I didn't know Logitech came out with a new G5....
but it sure is sweet. I've had the same crappy Microsoft mouse for over 4 years. No clicking wheel, only two buttons, shoddy wireless, etc. I've always wanted to get a G5, but I didn't like the fact that it only had one thumb button and was looking for another option. Well I walked into Best Buy today and, wtf, a blue G5 with TWO thumb button? So far I love this thing. Now I can hop into AA, crank up the sensitivity and go at it. Hello hot buttons for pistol and main weapon! Watch out guys!!

You can add or remove weights from it and it has a tilt wheel and it's laser instead of optical. The MX518 is probably still better (Although probably off the market now).

Re: I didn't know Logitech came out with a new G5....
I moved from the 510 to the G5 and the G5 is noticably smoother (and I liked the 510 too). The on-the-fly sensitivity changing is pretty situational but it kicks ass when you are in the rorsch.

Re: I didn't know Logitech came out with a new G5....
Difference between G5 and G7 is wireless, and i hate wireless. But i hear the G7's pretty good on the batteries since you get two and there quick release like the weights (For fast switching of charged batteries).
The G7 is in two colors, the yukky blueish/green and the kick butt black/carbon fiber.

I have had and love my MX518! I checked the logitech web site and it is still available. Great gaming mouse! http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...ONTENTID=10121

Re: I didn't know Logitech came out with a new G5....
I have the old G5 at work and the MX 518 at home. I like the scroll whell much better on the 518 because the G5 has left to right scrolling on its wheel and when you try to just use it as a button more often then not you end up scrolling left or right. I like that the G5 has a DPI indicator light to let you know which selection you are using. Both have there perks and both are great mice.

Re: I didn't know Logitech came out with a new G5....
program the tilt wheel's left right scroll function to the same key as your down press button. Problem solved!

Re: I didn't know Logitech came out with a new G5....
Hmm, I've never had the middle button end up tilting left or right unless I want it to. I do need to find a useful binding for it though. Maybe nades/something else...
