Re: What defines "Stat Padding"?

If you are making decisions based on stats rather then teamwork, you are stat padding.

Luckily Fehmart was my squad leader and he ordered me to knife them all. There was also an instance where Fehmart used suppressive fire in order for me to flank the enemy enemy and shank him. Now that's teamwork.

Re: What defines "Stat Padding"?

I remember that round. I was messing around on a pub, trying to earn my gold knife and pistol badge on a normal server. I got the pistol badge, but next round, I simply could not get knife kills. Zoopy, on the other hand, continuously found soft flesh with each slash. So, it became our mission to have him earn his gold knife badge, which I think he did.

Re: What defines "Stat Padding"?

I believe stat padding is collaboration with players of the opposite team to work together for the sole purpose of enhancing stats.

There is a difference between stat-padding and having servers with different rules. A knife server is a regular game, but the rules are change by only allowing certain weapons to be used. It's just like playing Halo on Xbox Live where each hosted game has set rules which change the base game (snipers only, rockets launchers, swords only, etc). It's the same game, but with a different set of rules which forces you to use different tactics in order to accomplish the goal.

However, knife servers which don't allow you to take command posts and just hover around the middle of the map for a knife brawl, that would be considered stat-padding forced by the server, in which case, the server should be banned.

I got my 55 teamwork points driving a Transport, as a support dude, with engineers dropping mines like they were going out of style. Got about 50 driver kill assists too I think.
