Discussion: Battlefield 2142 / Battlefield 2142 - General Discussion - TG Scrim Teams Announced - It'll be put up on the main thread soon, but I just wanted to announce
It'll be put up on the main thread soon, but I just wanted to announce the full teams before I start sending out tactical conflict password PMs. I'll be sending out these PMs shortly. Also, I've gotten confirmation from Tempus that we will be using the main server for this scrimmage, so hopefully we'll avoid lag problems. The teams as they stand now are:
Awsome!! yea now we need to orginize the squads and were set.
After a hard long day on the battlefield, you just wanna play some ball but some idiot wont let you because he has an explosive bag of pitchers' powder....
The stats are uneven (K/D ratios of about 1.3 to 1.55), but given the constraints of having to keep the in-house squads together, they're as good as it's going to get. Besides, we hope that the K/D stat isn't very telling of actual success.
We'll hope it ends up being a good game. I have confidence in all playing.

Holy crap! You figured out the overall team kill to death ratios? What are the kill to death ratios of the individual in house squads? You gotta let us know
i think i lost the piece of paper with that, but when i last looked at it (which didn't include a couple of people) it was off the top of my head:
2.15 for the 7th (doesn't include experiment or relmar)
1.29 for the 3rd
1.18 for the 9th (doesn't include Heavy or Aspie)
1.12 for the E1st (doesn't include Rock)
My list leaves off a few people that I couldn't quickly find on the battlefield 2142 site because I didn't know their name, but it gets almost everyone.
Oh, and also. My list only includes the people playing in this scrim. Obviously those who didn't sign up weren't figured in

"Which brings us at last to the moment of truth wherein the fundamental flaw is ultimately expressed and the anomaly revealed as both beginning and end."
Well, hold up. I know that quite a few 7th SL a lot, and on TG, SLs tend to get priority on revives. Of course K/D will get skewed in situations like that.
I snipe alot, so that makes my K/D ratio high. Several rounds I'll have at least a 3/1 ratio, if not 4/1 or higher. My average for every kill/death combined is 2.289.
K/D ratio doesn't mean much. For the first few months I played 2142 I played nothing but Titan mode on pub servers. My K/D ratio was as low as .45 at one point. My average K/D ratio since I've found the TG server is around 2.5. Many of the 7th have been around since BF2 and have played almost exclusivly on the TG server where they actually get revived so they are bound to have a higher ratio than other in house squads.
Also I'd like to add that I love the teams. It means the 3rd will get a chance to beat the 7th in the scrim then beat the 9th later that night in BFCL match
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
Things usually unfold faster than...
