Re: Starting a New inhouse squad

I don't consider that a vanity reason, maybe joining a squad just to get some points for your rank would be considered a vanity reason, but its my opinion on how I think Irr stands out in a way I dislike. Second I never seen too many Irr squadmembers, actually didn't know they really existed as an inhouse till today.

Re: Starting a New inhouse squad

TG and it's Primer say it the best. We provide a community for the real world tactical and teamwork inclined. Money pays the bills, keeps the servers up and running, Keeps us with nice shinny forum to play in, and gives us the best staff I have ever seen. But it is a community for anyone and everyone. We understand that some can't afford and don't have access to pay TG. Thats fine. We wont judge you and most certianly not frown upon it. But as Bommondo put it. We have to offer incentive so we can provide this community with life.

Edit: Irr are spread over a few games. I highly suggest contacting one of thier officers and inquiring about them. They have a history to tell and nothing to be ashamed of!

Well, first of all, TG-Irr was started with Battlefield 2, so naturally, that is where most of the Irr guys are at. Secondly, when Irr folk upgrade to a full paying member, they'll generally check out some of the other in-house squads to find one that matches their style of play. Thirdly, TG-Irr folk generally try to join other TG squads rather than forming their own squads (mostly because there is typically not enough Irr people playing on 2142 to form a decent squad).

I don't see how you mean "how Irr stands out". Are you talking about the tag itself standing out from the rest of the Inhouse squads? Or is it something about how it is run?

Re: Starting a New inhouse squad

I'm in the Irr, but barely ever see a great deal of people sporting the tag. I usually try and jump into an in-house squad and play with them.

You don't have to have a paypal account to become SM, you can use your credit card without setting an account up, you just happen to pay through the paypal website.

You can use just about any credit card and it's absolutely safe. I've used paypal lots and have several cards even stored there. No problems!

If it's about the money, just eat noodles for a week or something. If we don't support a service it will be gone someday. I've seen it happen.

Re: Starting a New inhouse squad

irr had a strong presence in 2142, but the 3rd snatched a few of them up recently. If you joined up with them, you could help replenish their ranks. If your only objection is how the tag looks, then perhaps you need to rethink what it means to be in a in house squad.

There is nothing stopping you from forming your own clan with a tag you find appealing. It just wont be supported by TG. You wont have your own forum here like the in-house squads do and you wont have access to reserve time on the private server. We do request you do not use a TG tag for your clan, and if i recall correctly, do not recruit for your clan on these forums. Like many have pointed out, the forums, servers, and services that TG provides all cost money. That money comes from supporting members.

Can you elaborate on this please?

Just because one thing is vain doesn't make the other not vain. You're choosing to care about some trivial, unimportant matters. There are legitimate reasons not to join an in-house squad, but the fact the tag is ugly isn't one of them.

I really think you're barking up the wrong tree here. Either become a Supporting member and start your unlucky squad or join the irregulars.

Honestly, not disrespecting your system, but there are too many things that revolve around being an sm.
Honestly, it's some of the best $9/month that I've spent.

I would be one right now but paypal, is too complicated for me.
Running a TG in-house squad is even more complicated.

I don't know but I seem to be the only one pointing these things out, probably because I have nothing to lose, everyone easily following of what others say, because they are admins or one of the high members of the community.

I love this community, the best one I ever played in, but I believe that there should be some kind of opinion.
Are you looking place for people to give their opinion? Like a forum maybe? Where everyone could post their thoughts? Now where would you find one of those?

Re: Starting a New inhouse squad

Well, From what I have seen in these forums....every opinion that is expressed is also respect and taken into consideration. Apparently even yours, which seems to suggest changing the entire format and idea behind this COMMUNITY. Although your opinion was not met with the reaction at which you had hoped, it was recieved and responded to by many members(Supporting and non) and also by Admins. If seems that your questions have been answered and objections have been noted, I truly doubt that the answer you seek will ever be recieved.
This community is great and the people are dedicated to making it fun and respectful. You couldn't ask for a better community. What you are asking is like going to McDonalds and ordering Lobster, you are in the wrong place for your request.
You say that you speak for other members? I do not see anyone else seconding you opinions, and no one has anything to lose.
Take some time and read through the forums, I have yet to see anyone mistreated for thier opinions nor ideas.
The in-house squads are great, I am an SM but do not have the time to committ for a squad, but I play on our servers and join them when I can.
the incentives for being an SM far out-weigh any reason for me not to be one. That is my opinion.
Have a great day!
