Re: External Microphone / Speaker Intervention

Hey, I turned the air conditioner down and voice activation off! lol, its a regular air conditioner, but literally 18 inches from my right ear. Really isn't anywhere else to put my PC desk, but I'm going to be building a new desk this summer, so hopefully that will help how I'm positioned. Otherwise, I never get any feedback or issues.

Re: External Microphone / Speaker Intervention

Sensual echo? SENSUAL?

The concept that feeding one's own voice back to them alone could be sensual creeps me out enough to send me running - no, scratch that - blazing in my car down the road at questionably legal speeds to grab the nearest high-quality headset I can find as quickly as I can, even if it means going into debt, just to prevent its occurrence.

Bommando, good job!

Well I'm not sure if my speakers have ever been an annoyance. Never got any complaints, but I started the other day using my headset. I've always played games with my speakers instead of headphones so I'm not use to it just yet, ahh well.

That's what I do. As far as I know not a lot of in-game sounds bleed through. If I'm wrong, let me know. I just don't want to give up my 5.1.

Re: External Microphone / Speaker Intervention

Yeah, that works. I've had headsets before that, using that technique even when I was using 4.1 speakers, ended up picking up absolutely no background noise. They really weren't expensive either. I need to find a headset like that again, that way I can enjoy my high-quality speaker sound and have good, non-sensualist comms. :-P
