How is this game

hey guys just got back from a "vacation". i just want to know is you guys play this alot and if its much more resouse heavy the bf2?
oh yea is it really fun?

Well, its the same engine as BF2, so expect similar gameplay/requirements. The engine has been tweaked a bit and allows for some more interesting effects/equipment. I'd say the 2142 community is still very strong.

yea i think im gonna pick it up. i use to play alot of bf2 here and had some good times. is it to the point were i need to be a SM to get a slot meaning the servers always full on peak hours? which is not a problem i use to be a SM.i take it its not ranked like bf2 ?

I'd suggest getting SM status if you play past 10 EST.

Our 2142 servers are both ranked servers and very good ones at that. 2142's awards and unlock system is very good, it does create some smacktardary sometimes but that is rare at TG. Welcome back, I think you will find 2142 a great buy. See you on the battlefield.

I will probably get vegetables thrown at me for this. Personally I never could get into BF2 due to all the bugs when it came out. I still wont play it online. Just at Lan Parties. That said, BF2142 is what BF2 should have been. All the way from the interface just to find and connect to a server to game play.

Agreed. Though I adored and played the hell out of BF2 myself, 2142 has always felt like the polished next-generation version of 2. They got the balance almost dead-on from the start and have fixed a lot of minor, but important, issues along the way. I'm sure not having jets to try and balance into things made it much easier.

It's a well-designed game all around and I'll recommend it to anyone who enjoys thrilling gameplay.
