Were more slots added to the 2142 server?

Maybe I'm seeing things, maybe I'm not... but when I checked the server out this morning the number of overall slots had jumped from 48 to 52. So, as my title asks, were more slots added?

i believe it was reduced to 46/48 before to see if that would reduce the lag problems we've been seeing lately. This didn't do anything (as it probably isn't our server's fault), so I think we're going back to 50/52. (this is probably the ideal number of players as theoretically it's four full squads plus a commander).

You are not seeing things. This change did in fact take place.

Well, then I have to say kudos to you and everyone else associated with the running and maintenance of the TG BF2142 servers! I and my friends enjoy playing on the servers, and increasing the number of slots both gives my friends (who are not supporting members) a better chance to jump in, and gives us more people to shoot.

(Conversely, it gives me a better chance of dying as well. LOL)

In all seriousness, this change is intended to be permanent. But if it seems like the server can not handle the numbers, or it affects gameplay in a very negative way, we will change it back. so far it seems like the number of players is in no way affecting these things, and I would expect the number to remain where it is.

62/64 would be 5 squads + CO

64 man would be too much for infantry maps though.
