Well, I know the American nations would be hit hard in the actual event of an ice age. I think it would be different if the Americans ' just had to join the fray' in Europe. And maybe then fighting in South America- my main concern is what would South America look like, a desert or rain forrest?

On another note, I think they should make an upgrade for Battlefield handguns- scopes, a new hand gun, and maybe even heavier rounds to fire (think about using a .357 to a .357 magnum round).

Re: Any news of a new booster pack?

According to the European Theater Prelude written by EA...
Quote:
European Theater - Prelude
By early 2138, the world's six factions were heavily fortified, ready to battle over the world's remaining land and resources. Expecting an invasion by the PAC into the agriculture-rich plains of Northern Africa, the European Federation concentrated its resources along the Mediterranean, ready to assist the Union of African States. A foray by two PAC battalions into Egypt seemed to confirm their suspicions, but the attacks were merely decoys, meant to distract the world from the PAC's primary objective, to destroy the military might of the EU's premiere units still located in Europe.
Three of the world factions:
- European Federation
- Pacific Asian Coalition
- Union of African States

Eh, the ziplines and hooks were nifty for getting on building you usually wouldn't, but other than that there weren't enough changes to gameplay and new additions to warrant the purchase. The Desert Raider Vehicle was really underwhelming, Night Vision would be painful at times, and some of the maps were pretty poorly designed. Enough about BF2 expansions though.

I believe EA said there would not be any new booster packs for 2142 whether or not they'll release a full expansion I don't know though.

It wasn't just about getting on rooftops and sitting there, it made camping/defending in buildings extremely hard to do because guys could grapple up into any window 3 floors up. It meant you had to expect incoming from 3 dimensions, not 2 dimensions plus a specific ladder.

Ghost Town and Warlord still stand as 2 of the best maps ever imo.
